This is perfection. I do want to just add that the credits on the page read "released 04 September 2013".

Which character do you all think is the best in TOB? I actually prefer Jim rather than Joe. Unlike in Mario, I hated luigi but Jim seems like a badass.
Yeah, I think we ALL need to take some credit here for speaking our mind and actually seeing results the way we wanted to see them!! Goes to show you have a bigger say here, than, like say, voting in real life! Some of these people actually listen, and then, in the end, they make more $$ because we love it!! Right- on!! Everybody happy!!
Played around with the controls tonight and I have to say excellent job. I went straight to option C, the fixed digital pad, max size and slid to the most lower left that it would go. Now going up ladders is painless and because of the size not once did my thumb exceed the boundaries of the pad. Still, it wouldn't hurt to make the actual boundaries a little bigger for others. Now I can get to the actual gameplay which I'm finding particularly challenging. What is the key to getting three stars? Is it just speed? I'm a completionist so I like to go for everything in a level possible before moving on.
Hit the ? on the goal post pop up to see the objectives for the level. These aren't too important as the REAL MEAT is coming with the achievements which can unlock a lot more fun.
when you complete a level, hit the question mark in the top right corner and it tells you the requirements. You need a certain amount of score, a certain amount of regular pigeons, and all gold pigeons in order to get 3 stars.
For some reason it doesn't save my score. If I get a worse score afterward, it deletes my higher one for that. It seems to be saving the most recent instead of best.
I was just playing through the first level again and noticed that when I lost, my "Hi score" (according to the bar under the level select) was set back to 0. Also, the number of oil cand I collected decreased from all 141 to 71, which I assume is how many I got from my last round in the level. Fortunately, that's not the case according to Game Center (#5 on the first level ). I think this just may be a bug I'm experiencing with the game.
It saves most recent because you're supposed to shoot for all 3 within the fixed time limit and get them all at once before the (generous) time runs out. One thing I wanted to talk to you guys about was opening up game center for timed runs - speed runs - do you think that it would be better if time did not reset on death? it's a tricky thing to answer, since it seems silly to game over when you run out of time as opposed to running out of lives. But I think you guys should all give your opinion on that part before the next update is pushed. Right now it's only useful because you're forced to try and get all 3 stars within the same time limit as it saves most recent. So if it saves best, it completely invalidates the current time model. Suggestions welcome. It's tricky because if we don't save most recent, it means that you can get the stars in different tries. I guess if you want to do it that way we can use time for another purpose like speed runs. But you need to let me know what feels best for that before episode 2 as it will ship in between now and episode 2 along with new achievements.
I don't know, it just feels like if I get 3 stars and then my friend plays it right after and gets only 1 star, then it should still display my 3 star score rather than his 1 star. It sucks after you finally get 3 stars and it resets right after you play again.
The problem with time is that it can be easily abused in all scenarios. For example, to get a high score on any level, currently one would play a level and kill as many enemies as possible before time runs out; the process would repeat two more times, the second on which the person would complete the level. Since time resets after each death, the player has just as much time as he does when beginning the level but to do much less (most likely). However, if time does not reset, it allows for speed runs. At the same time, it means more difficulty. I can vouch by saying that when I try to get three stars on some of the more difficult levels it is only possible by first losing a life or two first so as to reset time. Perhaps extending the amount of time per level, or even so on a per-level basis might help.
Great to see the 5 star reviews roll in- grats devs. Have you seen a spike in sales yet (if it's any of my business)?
Oh no, just straight composite tv out, didn't realise it had native support, thank you, you guys are obviously good programmers, eg: no crashes, performance probs wotsoever and no requiring bug fixes just to get the damn thing running on low memory devices! Loved it from day one thank you.
