Don't worry, you got the king of hdmi tv with icade core here. See our hdmi thread. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=173262 I want my mind blown away. I love games with rockin' music blasting out loud on my soundbar. You are awesome, I will let you know how it plays as a console game. You rock! I am going to try a little bit on hdmi tv tonight. Thanks again for listening to all of us here and especially for the icade controls! Woohoo!
I failed level 1 >4 times , level 2 took me 2 hours, and more.... most frustrating is when I fought the first boss: even when i got 6 pigeons he just shot all of them off in 1 laser shot which you cant escape from and eventually die from the 2nd shot after that PS: hide under the boss
If you guys will just send all the shirts my way that'll be great. No, but seriously even if I don't win a shirt, I might just buy one or two.
So I 3 starred every level except rat's nest....has anyone 3 starred that level yet? I have played it countless times but I keep getting 2 golden pigeons. Where the heck is the 3rd one? Edit: HA found it, the grenade launcher cop gave it away.
I have decided you are all playing this game wrong. TIP: Stop tapping, stop sliding. Just plant your damn thumb on the screen and ROCK it back and forth. Again, NO SLIDING. It feels kind of magical when you do it right. /PSA
Unfortunately 300-something posts pretty much confirm no one really wants to spend the 10 seconds it takes to "learn" how to grasp controls that work extremely well. Oh well, more options = more happy people. Can't deny that.
*Sigh* very true. It just makes me sad that they clearly put a lot of time, money, and thought into a control scheme that I think really is quite innovative (for the touchscreen) and at least 90% of people are using it wrong. The proper "rocking" method should probably be explained in-app to prevent more negative reviews (I'll admit I tried tapping and sliding at first, too), but more control options is an OK solution also. Ah, well. The game is amazing either way. Devs: iCloud please? : )
Why the hell should we learn a new control method after tens of years playing Super Mario, Sonic, Rayman, etc...? It's like "here is your new car but u will have to steer it with these pedals, good luck" lol
Because there were advantages to switching? I don't see any advantage to using this control scheme. The game looks amazing, but having to attempt to keep my thumb in a neutral position is really uncomfortable (specifically for me, though it might be true for others as well) and it's annoying to use beyond that, especially as keeping my thumb on the screen the whole time ensures I'm always going to be blocking some part of it out. I acknowledge that the developers probably put a lot of time into the controls, but that doesn't change the fact that they need to be improved. The game is practically unplayable for me as is, and I was really looking forward to this game too.
I was able to play this game by rocking my thumb back and forth. But Im really not comfortable with it. I find myself moving at times when I dont want to.
Because they attempted to make the controls replicate the games you have been playing for tens of years-a standard joypad. Its actually what we've become accustomed to on touchscreens (for fives of years?) that they moved away from. For some it worked but for most others it didn't. Can't blame them for trying to nail the controls to fit the vibe of the game. Either way it shouldn't be long for the update
Ermagherd is this legit?! It's got to go through Apple first mate. Next week by the sounds of it. Jump on Slayin or Bandlands in the interim
