So which games did you guys pick up this week? I personally couldn't resist Adventure Kid. Also picked up Momoka and Mutant Mudds, which isn't knew but it just got updated for the first time in forever. Adventure Kid is making me feel like... well, a kid again. I'm having a lot of fun with it.
I got Gnomium, Jhulo, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, Little Broken Robots, Puzzlewood Adventures, and Swapperoo. I'm enjoying them all a lot!
We've got little girls so I figure I'll be retired right around when they graduate college! I'm not sure I'd make a very good retiree at this point anyway... Picked up Venture Kid as well this week but can't get past the second level motorcycle boss yet :/ Yet can't believe how quickly I finished the same dev's game, Lone Wolf.
Gnomium looks interesting. It's looks like a match 3 crossword puzzle. I haven't seen that mashup before. How are you liking Puzzlewood? I almost picked it up but the three games I did get took up most of what I'll allow my self to spend on games per week.
I'm stuck on the same boss. Just can't seem to get his pattern down. Lonewolf is awesome. I wasn't even going to get it until I read the TA review. Finished it in two days. Don't think I'll be able to do that with Venture Kid.
I'm exactly in the same boat. I have twin daughters and I'll be 59 when they graduate from high school. I see me putting them through college and then they'll be putting me into an old folks home.
Heh. Same boat indeed. Twin girls here as well...AND will likewise be 59 when they graduate HS! We'll have to compare notes.
Puzzlewood is awesome! Here's the game's thread if anyone hasn't seen it: http://http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=279277 Lots of nice comments in the thread. It is a genuinely fun game. (I love any sort of puzzler!)
So far I've only got Venture Kid, which is awesome, I've got a backlog of games to play and I'm snowed under with work so I'm trying restraint this week when it comes to new games.
Got one daughter, she's 19, just finished her first year in college. She got straight A's and has a 4.0 GPA. We're VERY proud of her! Not only beautiful, but smart and self-motivated too! Got a broken 357 Magnum a couple years ago for free from a buddy and permanently have it next to my chair so when she brings her boyfriends home, I just happen to be cleaning it and leave it out on the counter. She knows the game, but they don't!! Keeps 'em honest every time! Heh-heh! Gotta do whatcha gotta do, man! This week the only things I picked up were Momoka and the 2 Star Wars pinballs from Zen and they turned out to be good choices!
Damn, I forgot about the new Zen tables, I'll have to get them. First I forget that X-Files starts back this month and now this, I really must be getting old
YES! New X-Files. I watched every episode (I skipped the last season) of the original series and I can't wait to see where they go with this new series. I watched a behind the scenes on Hulu a couple of weeks ago and it looks like it could be really awesome. They're really playing into the fact that the characters are older and have other things going on in the last decade or so. It even has CSM in it. Just can't wait.
You're the coolest man. I never even considered the idea of using props for date control. We have a 17 year old daughter. She's in her senior year of high school with a 4.0 GPA, but she still thinks like a kid and I get a little nervous every time she leaves the house. I'm always very standoffish with her boyfriends. My wife thinks I'm being mean to them but I explained that I, if the time comes when I have to hurt one of them, I don't want anything clouding that decision. So what's up with these zen pinball games? I've played a few pinball games on my phone but it just isn't the same as standing in front of that machine. Is there something special about the Zen games I should be aware of?
Spooky (pun intended ) I've never gotten around to watching the last season either but I was a massive fan back in the day. I've been steering clear of any previews just in case I didn't like the look of what they're doing to the show but it's good to hear it's shaping up well. Can't wait now. There's never going to be anything to compare to the experience of standing in front of a real table, that just can't be beat. But Zen pretty much consistently put out good, well designed, fun tables with lots of nice detail. Other than pinball fantasies/illusions back on the Amiga and of course Devil's Crush on the PC Engine, which I still play often. I've not been a massive fan of digital pinball, until Zen came along that is.
Didn't you hear the man? He has a 357 magnum. It may not function but that's a pretty heavy chunk of metal to get whacked in the head with. #
A sturdy pair of garden shears coupled with the phrase, do you know what a eunuch is? would be a much better deterrent
