This is the most I've played DQVI really love the casino cool feature and the arcade machines too it's these little things that make DQ so fun. You can spend a few hours just on this type of stuff
I'm now 13 hours into DQVI and at Murdows Castle and there is a part where you have to super precise with controls while walking or you fall through and have to do it again... in willing to be I have fallen at least 75 times so far sheesh if I can just get by this I've got this castle taken
Took out Murdow with relative ease now moving on yay got past that part finally thank god ha Also on my pc for fun I pulled up DQIII nes version and it made me so appreciate the mobile version and how updated it is
Found a new game on Japan App Store this morning and it's Monster Hunter match 3 sort of like puzzles and dragons style Gonna have to shake my head at this one but it doesn't surprise me It is a capcom release but I don't know that it will ever be released outside Japan, doubtful Still plugging along with DQVI just a tip you can visit the witch and upgrade your zoom to make it where you can switch between the real and dream world instantly and you can do it pretty early on in the game too
This is a cool part on DQVI I'm back at the scene that started the game to fight Murdow and I think I will be fighting him twice this time Here goes nothing although I should be more than ready my team is pretty good at this point and higher level than probably recommended Update easy win and now on to the next part of the game
Over the last week I have been some RPGing on DS and PS2... also I was thinking back to when i was a kid and there was an RPG on SNES i was trying to remember that I owned and loved and it hit me today it was Illusion of Gaia so I have been playing it again for first time in ages On PS2 I have been playing Final Fantasy XII International Jobs Edition. On DS Chrono Trigger and the world ends with you
I was checking out the square japan site and I can confirm a couple titles coming soon from them for ios Romancing Saga 3, final fantasy explorers force, dragon quest rivals (hearthstone like DQ game), and king's knight. Of course keep in mind this is japan releases and no word if they will release elsewhere
I'm playing through FFIV after playing FFV and FFVI. Just about at the end now. It hasn't taken nearly as long as I expected. Twenty six hours and I'm at the final save point before Zeromus.
Ok, how do you get to the lunar ruins in FFIV? I beat zeronimus, and have a completion data save, but that is a restart game. Can I access lunar ruins with my team from the first run through?
So, I've finally beaten Final Fantasy IV. I hadn't played the game since it's release in the 90's on the SNES and had forgotten much of it. I'm playing the Final Fantasy games backwards from VI and a few thoughts occur to me. I can understand the reason FFIV was released stateside as a direct sequel to FFI. It feels like FFI on steroids at times. Crystals? Airships? Fiends? Ancient civilizations? All there and bigger and more important than ever. Thematically this is a true follow up to Final Fantasy I. But is mechanically? I mentioned when beating FFV that it felt like a sequel to FFI and I think it's clear now that mechanically, FFV has more in common with FFI than FFIV and FFVI ever had. FFIV mechanically feels like a follow up to FFII with rotating cast members, lost family members, evil empires, etc. In the end, it feels like FFIV is a special moment in the series where everything seems to land just right. FFVI is still my favorite main line game, and FFV will probably hold on to its second place standing. But I can say that my fondness for FFIV isn't nostalgia. It really is a unique and special entry in the series, even if it is a bit melodramatic.
I need o to beat IV myself last few days im eating up hours playing Final Fantasy Dimensions and although there are some so so moments I like this one a lot. I'm about 9 hours in and I just got Barbara
I wish I wouldve known I was about to switch back to Nacht's party and do wish i had bought seconds of most weapons as I am left with not a lot so I made this party based on that but I will regroup what I really enjoy most about this game is the switching parties and guest characters like Barbara. I am ready to get more jobs though My goal is to get really far into all my ios final fantasy games and then beat them all. It may take time but i have progressed a good ways in all of them but I need to get back on VI, VII, and IX soon since they are the most behind. I have included FFXIII all 3 parts in this as well since i own them too through the Japan App Store. I am very far into XIII (about 30 hours), XIII-2 not bad (9 hours) but XIII-3 only about two hours in. Happy Gaming!
I've also been working through FF Dimensions, coincidentally. I bought it back in December/January when it was on sale around half off because I didn't have a whole lot to play on the iPod at the time. Right around then, though, the monthly Reloads started and I got sidetracked by those and the games I got for Christmas (Trails of Cold Steel and Exist Archive). Now that I'm done with TOCS I/II, Exist Archive, and we've extended FFV's reload time, I've got plenty of time to work on FFD. I'm currently in the middle of chapter 2, just ahead of where Dailon is. I've just completed the chapter with the Ranger guest character and have now moved on to where the next guest will be a Bard. I took a detour at the beginning of the chapter to grab Ramuh and work on job levels a bit. Part of why I got sidetracked away from FFD was also paralysis over what to DO with the jobs. Not knowing what I would get, or how many JP I would end up accruing, made me wary of upgrading any given job. I eventually decided to check the job FAQ over at GameFAQs and use a couple of their recommended builds. None of the characters or story is particularly interesting me, sadly. Worst among them is Alba, who I would prefer to just chuck into the airship hold rather than use in the party, but that's apparently not an option.
great news I was wondering if I was alone ha since its been out a while characters/story below par no doubt... Alba i made her my warrior haha
Falcon815, Have you found all the dirty magazines haha that part is a real laugh Alba calls Necht a party pooper when he doesn't want to look at the dirty mag w her haha Now there is one scene that was unsettling tbh Did you notice the scene where I think it's nacht and alba too but she comes to and he's standing over her and she's like you weren't up to anything funny while i was out or something to that effect and he's like no and she calls him a party pooper that's really not a cool scene at all in my opinion
Playing FFIII. I've given way to madness. Knowing how easily you can level jobs I've made almost zero forward progress, but hey, I have a level 25 Warrior, Thief, White Mage, and Black Mage. And for the record, the leveling of jobs seems to be making a big difference in damage output.
III is so much fun like that though Makes it a bit easier but I always enjoy breaking out III and playing it
No, I haven't seen any of the Alba scenes you described. I haven't been going out of my way to explore at all. Not that there's a whole lot of exploration to do, mind you - the world map segments are really compact. I cruised through an entire sub-chapter yesterday after switching back to Sol's party. The two worlds seem really unbalanced to me. Light world is generous with Gil and EXP, to the point where my Sol party was nearly 10 levels higher than my Nacht party. As insult to injury, they're also richer and better-equipped. The treasure chests and item drops in the Light world seem to be far more useful than the ones in Dark world. In my last Light dungeon, I got copies of some of the best buyable equipment that I'd already been able to afford. In my current Dark dungeon, not only do the enemies have a very specific destroy condition (must be finished off with magic or they keep respawning), the treasure chests have all been simple healing items like Eye Drops and Phoenix Downs rather than, y'know, money or equipment. I run out of money in each Dark town before I've even halfway equipped my party, whereas my Light party buys out equipment shops like they own the place. Light world party bought 50 Tents with money to spare; Dark world party has to go fight a battle or two to even afford a Tent. So, progress has been a little slow in this Dark segment, though at least Diana finally learned HP+20% in Red Mage so she's less of a porcelain doll. I'm set up as Ranger / Red Mage / Black Mage / Monk, basically auto-battling everything with Attack / Spread Fira / Spread Fira / Attack so I don't have to think about which enemies have to be finished off with magic. I spent about 20 minutes grinding gil so I could buy up 20 Tents to take along with me to the next set of dungeons, figuring that I'd need them to keep refilling MP.
After grinding up a bit in that Dark section, I sped through the next couple until I hit a pretty solid brick wall at the end of the first Dark segment of chapter 3. Hoo boy, that boss was a pain, so much so that I was forced to use a job I'd ignored to this point (White Mage), as well as change up my other jobs just so I could take advantage of the boss's only elemental weakness (Wind). So, with a party of Ranger (to use a Wind weapon) /White Mage/Black Mage (mastered) / Warrior (to use a Wind spear) and the vital guest character, I barely managed to scrape out a win after several tries. The boss does AOE 1000-1400 damage on a regular basis if you don't have Shell up. Shell is at the same level as Curaja (why???), so you basically have to have a White Mage around for one spell (to pair with spamming Cura) or the other (to just spam Curaja the entire fight). The boss can also disappear from view, and only the guest character can bring him back to being visible. The guest character is also very, very squishy - she had 20-30% less HP than either of my girls in their mage jobs. Did I mention one of his AOE spells can also trigger status effects on top of doing 600-800 damage? So, yeah, this fight can go wrong about 8 different ways. Good luck when you get that far, Dailon.
