Hm depends. If you complete games and can afford another later on I would say four or possibly three, but that one's cooler if you have beaten I and II. My sister loves VI. I'm playing IV right now. Seems I'm doing them all in order lol.
Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for reviewing and talking about all those rpg's Shaun! I spent the year working on my crazy backlog. I beat eight rpg's which is a lot for me! I beat DQ I-III and it was so much fun to see how they have evolved. I'm 35 hours in to DQ IV. Also beat FF I and II and playing IV now. Hard to say which game I enjoyed most of the rpg's. I'm tempted to say FF I actually. I came imto completionist mode and played it for around 120 hours! That's a bit bananas for a relatively short rpg, but I had a blast doing everything in it. Now onto 2017 and more backloging! I feel strong, only bought one holiday sale game. Trails of cold steel for Vita.
Square Enix has plenty premium ones! Also there is Y's Chronicles, Silver Star Story are some others... but you cant go wrong with Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest oh and also check out Kemco games too they have some gems like Alphadia Genesis
How about immersion, believable world building that feels organic and a sense of adventure and a"big scope" with side quests that feel satisfying? Is there anything like that besides Baldur's Gate, The Quest or Avernum in that sense?
Siralim 2 I would highly recommend now that I got what you're saying Also Aralon Forge and Flame, Jade Empire, Infinite Tank (i know that seems odd here but its good), Nimian Legends: Brightridge, Titan Quest these are all good ones
Thanks! Is Aralon Forge and Flame really a good example? I was under the impression that the scope was even smaller than the first one, but maybe that's my mistake. Also, isn't Jade Empire on the short side? I also thought that Titan Quest was more about looting and grinding than interaction, world building and immersion.
For big, great RPGs on iOS, I'll throw in Knights of the Old Republic, 9th Dawn I and II, Legend of Grimrock, The World Ends With You (great story) and any and all Inkle games. Started 80 Days this week - it's incredible. Yes, I know I'm about two years late... Also, for something a bit more bite-sized, there's Steven Universe Attack the Light. And I'll second the Ys recommendations.
Thanks! Kotor and TWEWY I've alread finished. Both are awesome! However, TWEWY is kind of on rails and I was looking for a more "open" experience. I might start 80 Days, though, after I finish Lone Wolf, though, since everyone is but praise for the game.
some of mine were off target i get that but they are good games similar in style also if you like that style game and have a console FFXV fits all of that and then some FFXV has made me play my console more than any other game ha
they did... total open world there are quests but you can do what you want... day night cycle... food.. the world is very life like with cars and people moving around and conversating etc! you can fish as well and the fishing isnt some quick thing it's very real like and you can even buy new rods tackle reels and all that and so you can spend hours with that alone... so much to it and more on the way
Anyone playing brave exvius? I'm playing both USA and Japan versions no money spent Do have 5 star Noctis on USA version that's my best draw so far Draws can stink on this game but you just have to keep at it ha On the Japan version they had a monster hunter event and character draw so I have a couple 4 stars of those too that are interesting also coming soon I saw it announced today Ariana Grande will be added to the game soon which I'm cool with even though they will prolly get ripped for it by some Möbius I'm still playing too and on the Japan version I'm making tons of progress due to my new mage that I just got everything came maxed out and he's destroying everything with ease now to get some better cards this dude is so beast though
I was playing justice monsters inside final fantasy XV and I was thinking about why didn't final fantasy make a fishing game for mobile based on the fishing done during final fantasy XV it would be tons of fun
I've just finished Joe Dever's Lone Wolf. It was an interesting take on mixing gamebook, inventory management and combat (based heavily on QTE). However, the story is not very inspired, there isn't much choice and the combat drags too much. In fact, the plot basically lead to one fight to another. Despite that, I rather enjoyed the game and would love to see what the devs might do on another take on the genre, especially if they solve those issues.
I've been playing a decent amount of FF Type-0 recently. On iOS I haven't been playing much. Mostly just Record Keeper. I'm currently waiting for 8:00 tonight, which is when Hope's new overstrike weapon will be available in the relic draw.
I would love to grab that Thanks for the heads up Have you played the Japan version? I have Noctis on it level 67
I actually haven't been playing the Japanese version. I'm a bit too lazy and haven't been able to find the time to start over Edit: I've spent all of my mythril and didn't get his weapon. Now I feel empty inside
How many did you spend? Odds are not in our favor usually about to draw a couple can't wait to get that 3 star part xii rod ha
