I can tell you that a few of those are coming along reasonably soon regardless.

Excellent. I’m really looking forward to some of them quite a lot. I really, really need to finish Chaos Rings 2 so that I can move onto the next on my list.

If people enjoy Bard's Tale (original), SilverSword is an excellent and loving homage that's iOS exclusive and frequently updated/maintained.

Other candidates for RPG Club I've suggest:
    Lunar Silver Star Story
    The Quest Gold
    Kingturn Underworld
Fall of Angels (if not too old/dated now)
    Zenonia 1

Agreed; I'd go so far as to say it might even deserve a mention in the main Bard's Tale article!

Oh, for some reason I thought this was sort of a retro-themed thing, and I don't know why I thought that. Maybe just because of the first few game choices? In that case, I'm sure you'll have tons of great iOS titles to choose from. Mage Gauntlet might be a good choice, it recently got a widescreen update.

Nah, I can see why you got that impression. Not that there won't be a lot of retro stuff, I'm a pretty serious retro gamer. But there are lots of cool original mobile RPGs I want to talk about too, as you guys will see in the next couple of weeks.

Don't want to add to your work load or suggest any kind of hassle, but I bet some of us would love to see a video podcast to coincide with these articles. Don't know why, but I love watching and listening to guys playing my favorite games when I can't be!

I'd love to, Curtis, but it's probably not feasible right now. I very rarely have long, regular stretches to sit down and play without interruption due to my job and family, plus I don't have any of the necessary equipment.

    Maybe down the road sometime.

Good lord, The Quest is consuming me. This game is incredibly hard to put down.

I hear that. That's the main reason I game on my iPhone most of the time whenever I can fit a bit of play into my schedule. Thanks for even taking the time to organize this. Can't wait to hear how I can avoid dying in The Quest Gold next week.

Which Dragon Quest title do you think will come next? As Square Enix announce the upcoming DQ titles to be release.
One maybe is coming on the few upcoming weeks, which one would be?

I'd guess DQ1. Other than IX, that's the one I'd want to play the most. I'm still playing both VIII and IV so I'm not ready for V yet.

Next for Japan will be DQ3. Next in English will be DQ1. We should have the Loto Trilogy in English within the next few months.

Shaun and more or less, when do you think Chaos Rings III for western release will be? And maybe what price would it be? 20$?

I don't know, but I'll ask them at the Tokyo Game Show to see if I can find out.

    Thanks Shaun!

  19. I second that ;-)
And as far as I can tell, even non-retro gamers are still enjoying it.

So perhaps you might want to give it a try... drop me a note if you want a promo code :p

    Kind regards
    Mario
