    I should be commited. Lol

And people say that iOS lack games. It is in my humble opinion (and according to my personal preferences) the best platform ever.

Agreed completely. ## I have completed four rpg's this year, all on my ipod. The screen look better than on any other device and I have games enough to last me years probably.

Dailon: What sort of team do you have? I have a Thief, Priest, Mage and myself :)

Right now hero warrior thief and martial artist. I switch out a lot though and have 2 mages and a priest I use some
I'm level 12 or more on all my current party members :)

You switch midway? You grind them all up then ?

This game is so good! Full of all the small details that make up a great dragon quest. I smile a lot of all the funny things people say.

I switch for certain battles what I usually do if it's a new dungeon is I go in fight a couple fights and then determine what party should be if I decide a mage may be better than martial artist I go switch out and I usually always grind up a level or two that character and go back in the dungeon. This game is a great game to use your strategies in! And dialogue is good for sure
This game is a treasure I have truly enjoyed every minute
I haven't tried all the classes I have yet so for my next play I'm gonna start leveling some of those up
What's cool is you can always create 4 new ones and kind of start over so to speak and fight your way up to grind those
So much replay value in this game not to mention it's so good you would want to play it again

It's really good! Didn't think to do it that way, not to far in yet. That's cool though, you can get to try every class if you want to ^^

My sister beat VI last night. It's her favorite of IV-VI. Wondering which one I will like most. They are all very good though.

Of those V only I haven't played VI much
Overall probably VII it's really good
    III is up there too
Square Enix just pulled some older games from the store
They also pulled chaos rings I and II
I only have in CR series and I didn't like it much at all

I noticed. I wonder if all the fuss about it will make them reconsider? It doesn't feel like a wise move exactly. I only have the original.

You have DQ VII japen version? It's probably coming here too when the ds version is out. At least I hope so.

Since I didn't grow up with access to rpg's at all I have yet to beat most classics. I doubt I would ever get to Chaos Rings at all. Played some of the first, but it was pretty repetitive. Still I don't think it was a wise move on their part. But I won't miss them. Even "just" with the rpg's I have right now I could be satisfied for years. By the time I beat all I would probably want to replay.

My worry w each update is that The World Ends With You will get pulled again. That is my all time favorite RPG and I played my first RPG in 1986 when I was 6 :)
When that happened I was upset but they did fix it finally. They may change their mind and fix some of these at first word was they weren't gonna fix TWEWY and they did so never know.
Also wish bioshock worked I bought it and two weeks later didn't work and I was loving that game. 2k has really taken their time with fixing that one personally I think they have abandoned it.

Yes, really hope The World Ends With You doesn't get pulled again. Played it some on DS, really good game, but I want to play it on ios instead.

I'm in the pyramid on DQ now. So many branches! I pushed a couple of buttons, but no idea if it was the west and east one lol.

Shaun: since things in Japan are moving a little faster. Have you heard of or do you believe we have any chance of seeing FFIV the complete collection on iOS? The psp version I mean.. I just can't really handle the shubby version for that game. For III I can accept it because I haven't ever seen the other, but for IV it's just wrong..

I doubt it. There are already versions of FF4 and TAY on the App Store, so Square isn't likely to spend money on extra versions that would likely just confuse the average customer.

It is a shame because that PSP port of 4 is kind of the ultimate version of FF4, while the DS one I see as more of an interesting variant. And that version of TAY is far better than the 3D one Square scrabbled together for iOS. Not that anyone should play TAY in any form, mind you.

Guess I will play it on PSP then. At least for my first full playthrough. FFV is up first this summer with my sister though. And finishing IX.

Alright, all of your DQ3 talk along with the fact that I just started watching Dragon Warrior: Legend of The Hero Abel on YouTube & thanks to the Dragon's Den, I decided to start DQ3 again and name my party after the characters in the show.

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it (if you don't mind anime). The show is based on DQ3, so that's awesome. Unfortunately, only the first 13 episodes were English dubbed. The rest can probably be watched with subs, which I'll probably watch once I finish the first 13 episodes.

There are a couple other DQ animes, but they aren't English dubbed and aren't based on an actual game in the series.

The power company where I live is notoriously incompetent. A few years ago, we had a bunch of big storms over the summer. The power went out in most of its service area during the first storm. But when the second storm came, the only areas that lost power were the ones that hadn't the first time around: because fixing the downed power lines made them stronger than before.

Which is all to say... I think games that broke broken and have been fixed are the least likely to break again, at least in the short term. Apple's iOS updates tend to be pretty incremental, so if something is made to work for iOS 9, it'll probably work for 10, 11, 12, or so.

The World Ends With You on iOS Is probably my favourite game on any format. Great touch controls.

As for Chaos Rings, it saddens me, but I never really got into the first one, so didn't bother with the sequels, which are supposed to be a lot better. Guess I'll have to go straight from I to III if I ever decide to tackle them again. Still think Square are doing great work, and a re-release somewhere down the line wouldn't surprise me at all.

"Not only does Mage Gauntlet still hold up today, I think it might actually be even better in the current iOS ecosystem. Many of its competitors in the action-RPG genre have disappeared or gone free-to-play, leaving it as one of the few high-quality paid entries in the genre on iOS. In fact, I think I'd consider it to be on the short list of essential iOS apps for mobile RPG fans

I would love to know Shaun's essential iOS apps for mobile RPG fans.

    That would be golden! :D
