Haha, glad you're enjoying it! Well, the next episode of the podcast is up tomorrow. I hope everyone enjoys it. They're a fair bit of work to put together, and it's work I'm frankly terrible at, but we have a lot of fun, so thanks to everyone for their continued support.
Last year was the year of dragon quest I set out to play every Dragon quest number series game I could and came away with V being my fav VIII second fav. This is the year of Final Fantasy and I have since January 1st played all the number series games except XI, XII and XIV. Here is how I ranked them solely on my enjoyment Pre PlayStation era 1-III 2-VI 3-IV 4-V 5-I 6-II PlayStation era 1-VII 2-IX 3-VIII 4-X-2 5-X Final fantasy XIII 3 part series ranking 1-XIII 2-XIII-2 3-XIII Lightning Returns XI is supposed to come to phones this year and I'm sure down the road we will see VIII and XII I have enjoyed playing all of them and ranking them is something I really don't like to do all that much since I like all of them in some way and like with part I I had to rate it lower just its so dated now but without it we don't get any other ones so again just play and enjoy them all for what they are greatest RPGs made I got an Xbox one now just so I can XV the day it drops
From what I Have read by the end of the year now I'm not sure if that's worldwide or Japan only either way I'm gonna be playing it http://www.gamenguide.com/articles/22289/20150320/final-fantasy-xi-ios-and-android-versions-announced-long-running-mmo-heads-to-mobile-devices-in-2016.htm The link that talks all about it Now this article is from March last year but a quick search also turns up some newer ones
Headed to saronia on final fantasy III I'm at a very good level too. Enjoying the bard in this game he's a good one and very helpful. Ready for Garuda I'm gonna go at him with two Geomancers, black Mage and a dragoon
Wow. You are making great progress relatively quick! I'm only at Doga's Grotto even though I've had it for years. I think I used a Knight (or Dark Knight), Onion Knight, Red Mage, and Dragoon on him. They're all almost level 50, so it went pretty quickly.
He can be a tough boss if not leveled up good I'm level 32 right now and I'm still grinding and haven't went to Saronia yet I'm having too much fun leveling up various jobs and character level ups Plus I can explore more of the continent now ha this one is quite good I had it for a while but it was least played this one and part II. Glad I picked it back up but now it's distracting me from part ix and xiii I just started this one after rpg reload last week so good progress for sure
One inside saronia is there any place to heal HP and MP. Because if not I won't be able to change my party and will need to go in w my boss party which means not many ways to heal. But with all final fantasy games I load up on potions and hipotions. Currently I have over 50 potions and 25 hi-potions so I should be good no matter what
NE Saronia has an Inn and SW Saronia has a revive wellspring I think. I would go there, restore my HP/MP, then go level up in the Ancient Ruins. After I used all my cure type spells, I'd head back to Saronia. I'd go back and forth a ton. Used to do that over and over again when I was backstage during the last theater show I did. It was pretty relaxing leveling up like that.
I knew you would have my answer I did just find the inn I was hoping I would be able to grind some here too! The dragon spire was a cakewalk and lots of good treasure! On the way up I didn't have the first enemy encounter only on the way down and of course I was much stronger than them anyways
Fighting the boss now lost first battle he kept casting lightning every time and I mean only that so I stood no chance so I will redo and hope for better results Third time was the charm destroyed him Now time to grind for all the good weapons and stuff in this area I may be here a little while
I know, right?! Once I got it, I forgot where I set down the other ship... Thankfully, you can land the Invincible off the coast, then take a automatic canoe ride to the Ancient Runes and level up quick. Especially when those multiplying and dividing enemies do it multiple times in one fight. Experience is great there! I think I was there over a year, playing off and on.
Good question, where is my old ship? Haha I have no clue This game is much bigger than I expected! It's just keeps getting bigger and bigger. At the cave of shadows now everyone is level 49 so looking good. Grinding for Gil paid off w level ups. i got the summons too at that town I totally forgot the name of (since I've been to what seems like a hundred towns) so now I get use the Evoker some. I think after the cave of shadows my thief will be above level 71 and I can go take out Odin. This is becoming an all time fav this port has it all quicksaves, decent controls, awesome graphics, jobs of plenty with costume and weapons reflecting on your character, challenging dungeons and boss fights that take good planning, and the big one multiple worlds each with a big map. Oh and the tons of transportation methods. This one is way up the list for me. The only con so far is that it has made me drop every game I was playing and now I can only play this one game right now
Yeah, this is the one RPG that has been on my devices the longest. And it does seem to have almost everything. The story isn't the strongest, but with all there is to do and places to go, it really doesn't need to be. Oh, and I think I left the Nautilus off the coast of a small island somewhere. There's probably another place where we'll have to use it to go under water again. There are a few jobs that I don't think I've opened up yet, and that's I think why I started progressing through the story again. I just want to get a couple jobs to use on my Red Mage, and then I'll be ready to pause the story and grind a few more levels!
If you like Final Fantasy gameplay, then it'll definitely be worth it! It doesn't have a huge compelling story like VII and IX, but the gameplay and mechanics are perfect for a mobile experience!
