Those numbers are scarily similar... Except for the members... I wish I was here in the beginning. No lie, Qwiboo brought my attention to this site, and since then, I've fallen in love with TA.
I hope it happens again. I have soosiz, real racing, meteor blitz, dungeon hunter, cocoto kart, iblast moki, MC:Sandstorm, gang$tar, and above and beyond air combat to finsh.
never noticed anything but I was on vacation and had no internet, and I wasn't as much of a hard core ipod gamer as i am now
Very geeky thread... I read TA for a few months and finally joined in November of 2008. Just for laughs I went back to see what some of my first posts were about- one in particular stood out: discussing the potential to port the open source project "Battle for Wesnoth" to the iPhone and still charge money for the app... Fast forward one year and Kyle Poole is beta testing his port of BoW, and plans to charge for it while making the source available as I suggested back then. My future prediction skills are strong. Anyone need to know next week's lottery numbers?
I remember being on iPodTouchFans around Feb., 2008 with the whole Jailbreaking Business. Then I started visiting the home page of Touch Arcade as new apps started coming out. Eventually I accidently hit the forums button, and I must say I'm glad I did. I used to find out about apps after a week of release. Like, I would find out NFS would come out a week after it did. Now i find out the second it's out! Thanks to TA and Twitter
I think i win the award for longest constantly active member on any internet forum with least post (here and ign.com)
TanZen? Nobody plays that! I remember a lot of fun being had in the forums, lots of contests, lots of devs interacting with players, and a general family atmosphere, even with a few grumpy, but lovable, uncles.
I've been here through it all, but obviously I am not a heavy poster. All of the old games are now so primitive or have been replaced by something. All of the forum oldies, I remember them. Good times, and the best part is the games were as exciting, new and cool then as they are now.
