I feel mad at today's current generation so I have decided to whine about the same things over and over and advocate life when it was actually good. We nostalgic folk always have the correct opinion and in this thread we can reminisce list stuff from the eighties-nineties-early 2000s- that were way better than stuff today. Those Crazy kids and their magic machines. List of things that were better back then compared to now: -Old Cartoon Network Toonami -Thunder Cats -Captain Planet -Whitney Houston -Animaniacs -Sonic 2 -Old Karate Kid -Dexter's Laboratory -Dreamcast -Hodapp -Jack Nicholson -Queen/Rolling Stones/Beatles -Whitney Houston -TMNT -Batman Returns -Ghostbusters -PEZ Dispensers -All the old Nicktoons -When Cartoon Network showed cartoons -Freakazoid and the Tick -Batman TAS -SNES -N64 -Power Rangers -Beetleborgs -Goonies -Voltron -Legend of Zelda -Mario Bros. Don't post a link to the DS game. It is expected already. Anything else I missed?
All the old Nictoons (along with All That, The Amanda Show, Keenan and Kell, and Are you afraid of the dark) all the old cartoon network shows freakazoid and the tick Batmam TAS SNES N64 Power Rangers Beetleborgs Beast Wars Toonami Dragon Ball Z Beast Wars
And I'd list her again as well! Voltron, nice. Freakazoid was a good show as well. Still upset about Toonami.
-Toonami (I'm still mad that BoBoBo is no longer on Cartoon Network) -N64!!!!! -RPG games (since not every game needed to have some sort of action and could be completely turn based) -Pokemon games (I'm talking Silver/Gold. Only ones I really enjoyed) -Resident Evil -Dragonball Z (best show of its time. Well, for me at least.) -Apathy for great graphics (yes, I hate when people care too much about graphics) -Point and Click adventure games (Not that today's games are crap, but just look at what we had from LucasArts, Sierra, and Revolution Studios during the 90's) -SNES (I'm actually still playing mine... best RPG console in existance) -Mario Party (when it was still cool) -Crazy arcade platforming games (think Bomberman Hero style) -Those awesome Transformers action figures/cars (almost like Hot Wheels but transformed... awesome) -Yu-Gi-Oh! (I played this obsessively as a kid... it was so fun) -Beyblade -Old arcade fighting games (Think X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Only one I can remember from back when I was little) And I saw someone mention Beetleborgs. Wow... I don't know if I've ever seen the show, but I remember something about it as a kid... I think I had some action figures or something.
The Disney Channel before all the teen shows. The first Gameboy that had color. Pokemon card game. Heck, the original Pokemon series where there were only 150. VHS tapes and always having to rewind them. Flip phones being the sh*t. meh, I was born in '95, I really don't have much nostalgia...
ash died, fine he didn't really die but still lol at the "Looks like Ash is rock type. No wonder Pikachu's electric wasn't doing much" comment
Oh my gawd! I remember seeing that in theaters and during that scene I was crying my 5 year old eyes out!... and of course there was my dad laughing out loud in the middle of the theater at that part who then told me to stop being a pussy... He used to be a dick... But yeah I remember seeing the in theaters and was amazed lol. Watching that clip really made me lol at what we watched in the 90's.
All I remember from that Pokemon movie is that they realized "... Fighting is bad!" and all had =O expressions. Then Mewtwo came and erased all their memories, so they forgot the lesson of the movie and kept fighting each other. Lolololololololololo-
And that reminds me of a couple of things I forgot: WB Kids The Batman and Superman animated series The Magic School Bus (who didn't watch that when they were a kid?)
xD I remember watching the 3rd pokemon film years ago (the one with Entei) and loved it. I should go find my old VHS copy and watch it lol.
