This is one I'll be playing. I've been dying for them to make one in the good ol' 2D fighting style of MK1-3, which were my absolute favorites. I just hope they bring back actually violent fatalities, rather than the lame ones from MKvsDCU.
Waiting for the inevitable New MK vs MvC3 topic. Right now I think I'm sided with MvC3, it's just pure unadulterated chaos.
Yeah, I watched it a while back. It looks INSANE. Btw, who else saw the new MK movie trailer? It looks like it'll be a big-budget film, as opposed to the other two MK films (the first of which I enjoyed, never got around to seeing the second but I heard it was lame).
It's not a trailer at all, it's a proof of concept pitch by the director to Warner Bros. It's up to them whether or not they want to put it into production so there's still a chance it'll never happen. OH MY GOD!!! That is INSANE! Best fatalities yet! Way better than the ones from Deception, and I liked those. Armageddon, while the create-a-fatality system was fun, was more or less a button-mashing fest after the fight. This looks like it's going back to its roots, what made MK such a great game. And as for the movie, they'd better make it. It looks so much better than the other two MK movies.
The only issue I have with this game, and it really is just nitpicking, is that despite being played in an old school 2D plain, the visuals are still 3D. Now I have nothing against 3D (love it infact), but I would have rather they went back with the 2D visuals too. They could've still been HD mind, kind of like what Capcom did with 'Street Fighter II HD Remix' for PSN & XBLA.
