    Here It Is

Personally, I think the new iPod Shuffle is a horrible, horrible device. Making people only use Headphones with Apple controls or use an adapter of some sort? Bad, bad, bad idea IMO. Does anyone else think the same? I know it's been receiving a lot of criticism today for that reason alone...Does anyone like the new iPod? I'm glad I got a new 2 gig square Shuffle in December.

That's... as small as my pinky!!!

But I really don't see the point. I would probably loose it, or mistake it for a stick of gum and put it in my mouth. And a computerized voice? That's gonna piss a lot of people off. It hard to get one voice that pleases all.

Have you seen how small the new nanos are? What's wrong with that? They actually have a screen!

This seems more of a novelty than anything else. "Hey look how small my iPod is. Okay, now what..."

That is extremely small, I still remember the first ipod shuffles which were like fat memory sticks, now they seem to be 1/3 that size!

I personally like it. I picked it up for mountain biking. I don't get to look down and see what song or playlist I'm choosing, so a simple swipe on the headphone cord and a friendly operator informs me where I'm at in those 4gigs of music.

One thing I don't get about the shuffle talking back is...It's your own songs you added to your shuffle... Why do you need it to tell you what song it is?
Maybe only for people with 10,000 songs?

I don't like those 2 grey and dark grey colours... very boring.

I like the size. It's really small which is really cool.

For the headphones. Companies can just include that control pad to their headphones.

I imagine the same mechanism as iPhone: double click the play button on headset to skip to next song, triple click it to go back to the start of current song or previous song I'd already at start.
The VoiceOver is only an addition to the shuffle. You don't have to use it. The previous shuffle never had it, so I don't see a problem. If you need a screen display for song selection get the Nano. It's Apple's way of upselling.
Overall I think it's damn amazing it's gotten so small yet still have 10hr battery life.

really really stupid of apple. what if you would want to plug your player into a pair of speakers? and apples headphones sucks in audio quality. i have even tried apples new in ear with mic and remote. sure, it feels sexy and the design is amazing, but as soon as i started playing a song i almost throw up. compared to my cheap creative in ears the new apple ones are complete garbage when it comes to the MAIN feature its suppose to do right... common apple! make better headphones!

The voice telling of the battery check level seems like a nice feature. Be nice if it was implemented into the iPhone/Touch some how. Had a 2G Shuffle for a little while and the smaller size was very convenient in extreme sporting. Might even pick one of these up.

Glad I got one of the old ones. Why is there a different voice for PC and Mac sounds like a crappy marketing strategy, just let people choose!

At first I actully thought it was a joke just like the iphone nano xD :p
