I can affirm that is a bug because that just happened to me too and I couldnt play it neither. I want to add another sugestion: when you flick a dice to add a hability to a hero card, and you have to roll a minimum number with your dice, it could be cool to show the minimum number required to pass it even before rolling it instead of showing at same time minimum number required and dice result. I dont know if I explain enough good myself but it should be very easy to implement and really needed too.
Same for me. I don't remember if it was the same card but I was unable to finish the game twice now, always with just a few cards left in the deck and no way to place or discard new cards :-(
I've never finished a game of this without a crash, I can't get the update,I've tried so hard to stand behind this UNDER-TESTED, UNFINISHED game. I want a refund. It saddens me say this. The great old ones do not slither behind the scenes here. More like old moldy Poe ravens and some retard behind a wall. Sorry Dustin and vlk. take your time with the next game before you release it. I ll give it a shot when the update hits, but if I still can't play your game, you will hear more from me. Such potential, but sooo incomplete. Really does sadden me.
next time better to test the game before the sale to the APPstore, which is the point if no one can finish the game? want my money back
And thats how another promising "board game" with great potential falls into obscurity leaving Monopoly etc. at the top of the appstore list. GG
I completely agree with this. Bought this weeks ago and it's still unplayable. I gave up and deleted it. I would also advise you to apply for a refund from the app store because it does not function. This is what I did, and I got my money back. It's only a buck, but this is the only way the developers will learn not to release games before they're ready. The bad press they are getting now over this could have been avoided had they spent more time testing. My initial impressions were that there was not much of game here anyway. It's a work in progress with customers as bug testers.
Bugs and all I still like what is here and think there's a lot of room for growth. So as it stands they have my full support. He'll I can't remember the last video game that didn't need one or more patches. Even board games get constant updates just look at D&D, warhammer or A touch of evil. And yes I've played games since pong and first edition D&D.
I don't understand why everyone is making up excuses for this game. Nice artwork and music don't make up for the fact that it's been released in a beta stage, with several poorly thought out features, and numerous game stopping bugs. The card game is fun, but without the artwork/music this game would be worse than dungeon solitaire.
These guys were trying to get their game out by Halloween, they failed at that, and still pushed out an incomplete game, using the awesomeness of H.P.L to run the hype train. The art IS awesome, but that's about it. And killer bunny should remember the days before patches were a mainstay, and complete games were released. You know, until the current gen of gaming. (excluding pc games) Just because you can fix it later does not mean you should sell a broken item. Apple's testing was also a failure, but they have to test stupid numbers of games daily. These guys only had to test one. I'm pretty sure they did not use enough outside testers on enough different devices. As I said, I WAS fully behind this effort.I will not back up BS nonsense like this. Most games go through lots of testing, and are released without game breaking glitches. So convince yourself your 2$ was not wasted all you want. My 2$ was.
The update has been pullet from the dutch appstore. there goes my only hope. Or not considering the new bugs!
It was a bad business decision to try to sell this game when they knew it didn't work. I hope vkly is able to finish what he started and deliver a playable game.
I hope so too, and I do think the game has potential and you can tell a lot of love is involved with the making of this game and the mythos is draws from. I was a little bit upset by the sale so early on though Looks like the game has been pulled from the app store hopefully it will come back all fixed up and awesome like it deserves to be.
As a counter to all the negativity that seems to seep into this thread, I'm really enjoying the 1.1 update. Tons more stable now (though I was always able to finish games before), and haven't come across a problem yet. I haven't seen the "unusable card" bug so far, but that could be because I usually leave one space on the top row and one space on the bottom open (to feed investigators to a strong monster and to feed monsters to a strong investigator), so I'm rarely left without an empty space on the board. Anyway, great job devs, still really enjoying the game!
Oh, I had a few free spaces available in my games too, that's not the problem. It's just that when I had only a few cards left in my pile I couldn't play the next card because I couldn't place it on the board, or on the discard pile. I exited the game and when I came back it was a different unplayable card. I could still use cards in the graveyard pile, but I couldn't place any new cards on the board. I'm a little less negative than other players here, I'm sure the developers will fix this issue as soon as they can and hopefully continue to build on this potentially great game.
Oh weird. I haven't seen that either, but mind you I don't think I've gotten below 10 cards from the end of the deck yet.
Just wanna see this update propagate to the US at least... plenty of other things to keep me distracted while I wait.
Yeah, not sure what's going on with that. I saw the update pop up on my phone last night and downloaded it, but it doesn't actually appear to be available in my app store (Canada) anymore either.
