    Couple comments:

Fun base game, wonderful art. My problems are that Openfeint isn't stable and it randomly logs off, which means the highscore doesn't get recorded at all and I can't unlock new cards. Try switching to Game Center or stabilizing Openfeint at least. There are way too many bugs, causing the game to crash and lose progress, but I understand you are working on those. My other complaint is that the board game isn't fun at all. I've been following this game since you announced it, so while I'm very happy to finally have it, I'd have expected with so many delays you'd have at least released a polished game.

Am I the only one who, even after playing through the game 20 or so times is still enjoying the final board game battle? I mean, I understand it's pretty basic and random, but I still enjoy playing through it. I feel it gives some nice closure to the game and I like the atmosphere of it. Of course I'll like it more once it's been enhanced a bit, but I still really dig it now.

Great, that's what I like to hear. :)

Honestly I don't know what there is to enjoy about the board game part right now. There is no way to lose. You just go through the motions rolling a dice moving through the rooms searching for the items. The only threat is possibly having to start again at the library or losing a turn, but even then, once you find allies the threats are nothing at all. They might as well not even have you roll a dice and just let you explore the board.

Bottom line is that it's good the first time you play it to get the cool atmosphere of it, but as a game mechanic, it's just tedium.

I totally agree with this. There is no replay value. It's too easy. There is no strategy with the room searches. Of course, I haven't been able to stay in the game for more than a few minutes due to the constant crashes on 3rd gen/OS 4.1.

I will say that the sound effects are great.

It is my understanding that cards are unlocked depending on your local highscore!

What I gather is that the board game is not a finished aspect right now, but kind of a bonus that the devs threw in. In the next build I think the option to play with the base set excludes that part of the game and the expanded set basically mentions that the board game is a mini-game that they are expanding on that you can try to see how the game will evolve. So I'm sure they plan to tweak it and add to it significantly. In the meantime, if you enjoy it, it's nice that you get the bonus material to enjoy. :)

The local highscore won't record, for me anyway, unless I'm on Openfeint.

    Well put.

I'm really glad the devs are keeping it in as an option, as even if I'm completely alone, I do enjoy it. :)

I agree long live the board game and end game!!!
I actually love that they are there.

  10. Thank's, violent tv's right you'll unlock the cards by reaching your own in-game high scores it's not connected to Open Feint or anything.

Well then why won't it work? It won't save any high scores locally if I'm offline.

I do enjoy the final battle somehow, even though I've still managed to lose when starting with a 40-50 point lead thanks to mean d20 rolls >.<

I have to admit the board game is a bit tedious after the first few times, although (and I know this is not helpful for the game's current format, just an observation) it could have some legs as a multiplayer board game. Being sent back to the Library is only very bad if there are other people moving around trying to find all the books before you do!

But yeah, I'm glad it's still there in the next version in some format, will be good to pick that option for a bit of variety every now and then.

I can appreciate the problem you ran into. I'd love to see them, but I would definitely like the gameplay polished before you get the video goodies in there. As I and everyone else has said many times over, the feel/atmosphere of the game is outstanding already - just need the gameplay to match. :D

Kind of in a Appshopper spamming mood, aren't we? I'd like to see an update for every half-dozen price changes.

    top row is the monsters
    bottoem row is the investigators.
both ahve Attack values (upper number) and Sanity values (lower number)
you play these two against each other. Merits, Flaws or Treasures can change the numbers.
aloe the left bottom Clock opens when the top row is full of monsters and you start losing. It closes when the bottom row full of investigators.
You don“t want either happen too quickly.

When all monsters are defeated you enter the University complex where you must find several allies and items. When you have them you fight the occultists.

This is it in a nutshell. there is a extensive tutorial on the support homepage.

    ;)
