The Moonsters Concepts Hello Guys We've prepared bunch of concepts showing how creative process looks like. Concepts Comment: Marcin Gibowski - Illustrator and Animator The biggest challenge for me was to figure out how The Moonsters should look like. We knew that they should be cute, simple but not boring at the same time. Every single of them should have it's own personality. Also you should remember that the characters hav...e to be playable so that was the main goal to merge this all things all together. I watched a lot of microorganisms as an inspiration, then I drew like a dozens of sketches... and suddenly Mr. U and Mr. Cube popped up! I like them from the very beginning. Bartlomiej Rozbicki - Creative Director We wanted to create a planet where the Moonsters crashed, fully believable. So we made a lot of research about eco-system of each world where Mr. U and Mr. Cube take their adventure. It's not easy to create something more than only beautiful images. The shapes and colors reflects individuality of each chapter of the game and also influence gameplay. According the scenario we have 3 locations in game and we had to think how to separate them with colors and feeling. So... we have Briars& Brambles where the Moonsters felt after their ship crashes, Humongous Fungi Forest and Floating Desert Island at the end of the game. Marcin did really great job! MG: I had this feeling that visuals of the worlds should fade one another so after creating main visuals I spend a lot of time to fit every element where the areas are connected. Hope you will enjoy the game. That will be the greatest reward for me! Enjoy! Man, this game looks pretty great. Are you planning to support it well after it comes out? Will you supporting Game Center or holding off on that?
wow! thnx for posting all the concept art. love that kinda stuff and can't wait to try this game. love the visuals..
- The game has already been submitted to AppStore some time ago, and it's waiting for review. - Too boost the game fun before releasing the Game Center we made Leaderboards for players who like to be challenged. The Leaderboards will be available on www.moonstersgame.com or straight from the game as soon as the game is accepted by Apple. - We finished the game before the release of Game Center, but if people like the game we DEFINITELY are going to embed the Game Center as well as support it big time. We have plenty of ideas how to push the game forward. One of them is: The Great Tofu Swarm While playing the game, you can send us the tofu you collected. All the tofu send by players worldwide contribute to the Great Tofu Swarm. If the swarm gets big enough, we will release free bonuses for the players and new content. And the bigger the swarm, the greater the rewards. After the game is released, visit www.moonstersgame.com to learn the details about the Great Tofu Swarm. ...which we believe will add some more fun to the game! For the Game Center answer please refer to above. The price is set for 1,99 USD. Thank you all! The Moonsters Team www.moonstersgame.com
What are your thoughts on the above guys? Would you like to have the Game Center embedded? Thank you! The Moonsters Team www.moonstersgame.com
If it's only for leaderboards and achievements, I prefer OpenFeint (which allows Game Center if I remember well). Game Center is nice for the multiplayer but not for leaderboards because iPhone 3G owners can't use it...
We're nearing the end of September; is there a firm release date on the game yet ? It looks terrific, and I can't wait to start playing ! Any news on an expected date of delivery would be most welcome !!!
Well, now it's just a matter of clicking the 'green' button from AppStore and we are ready to go - it could be any day. We don't have any exact release firm date. Thank you! Thanks loads guys! The Moonsters Team www.moonstersgame.com
I personally prefer Game Center over Openfeint. I actually like the way it's set up and thought it has room for improvement think it's very well done. Plus a lot of the big games are supporting it which I like. You can support both though (Fieldrunners).
Hello guys! Third short for The Moonsters in retro style! Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9JxmrUZTrI Coming very soon!
