That's could be true and I've thought about it many times, especially since you can't destroy energy... Where do we go? Thoughts = Energy so we gotta go somewhere! Maybe everything has a "life force" on this Earth and the reason we have more humans is because more and more other animals/plants/living things are dying. When they die, they are reincarnated... As mini me's...
Yeah, the more you think about it, the more it makes sense. Energy must go somewhere, it can't just build up. Where does life come from? Energy is required for life, energy is lost through death. Sure, our bodies will decompose, energy will go back into the ground which will provide life through plants and feeding humans, but maybe our soul (I'll use that word to mean "our recognition of our existence", although I'm not religious) goes somewhere too. Perhaps we have been reincarnated an infinite amount of times before, maybe as different life forms. Each time we die our memory is cleaned before we are born again. If you think of how complex the human brain is and how it is so complex and amazing that we can control our thoughts and actions, then maybe the thing that is powering us is transferred into our next life. This all sounds a bit abstract, especially for me as an Atheist, but there is no way of knowing for sure what happens after you die (at this current stage in time ).
It's funny because I was just trying to figure out the meaning of existence. Good thing I came to this forum to find out.
How do thoughts equal energy? They are simply electrical signals in our brain (neurons, etc.). Take away our bodies ability to stimulate these chemical reactions and boom there goes our thoughts.
