5.05 release Version 5.05 is now available in the store with the following fixes: ✔ Fixed 'reverse controls' settings. ✔ Made see-saw level slightly easier.
Dev Update A development update: I have implemented Ackermann Steering which will be included in the next release of the game. When I first created Little Crane, 2½ years ago, I naively thought that when a car turns left, both front wheels will turn in at the same angle. This is not the case in real cars, as this would cause scrubbing of the tyre. Instead, the inner wheel in steered in more than the outer wheel. Adding this to the crane simulation gives a smoother movement of the car without scrubbing. In addition, I have implemented a drive differential: the outer rear wheel has to spin faster than the inner rear wheel in a turn. In short, the best crane simulator for iOS, just got even better. Keep an eye out for the update. Bram
As someone who has built a number of cars out of LEGO, this is very neat! You've paved the way for making a Hondue's Truck Trials / Jet Car Stunts racer/plaftormer with slick 4-wheel steering!
That's a great LEGO car! With rear mounted V8 engine it looks like a Ford GT. Hondune Truck Trials looks freaking amazing!
nr 26 coming up In a rare display of developer's dedication to an app: release number 26 is coming to the app store. ETA is 7 days or so. It brings the following improvements: ✔ Implemented Ackermann steering. ✔ Added drive differential that slows down inner rear wheel in turns. ✔ Improved fork lift by decreasing turn radius. I wonder if there are any other games on the App Store that have raked up more than 26 releases.
Wow, talk about a hidden gem! I love physics games. Can't believe I never heard of this game. So much fun. Before I buy the full game: 1) Does purchasing the premium levels also disable ads? 2) How many levels overall now? 3) Do I need the World Editor app if I just want to play user levels not create my own? 4) Does the game have lot of community support? Bascially are user levels added regularly?
1) yes 2) just scroll down menu and you see them all: 25 3) no, but currently Apple has broken iCloud sharing, and is not fixing bug. 4) no, see 3). You can see if icloud doc sharing works again by clicking on this link in safari on iOS: https://www.icloud.com/download/documents/?p=08&t=BAIC4Xg1pDSInZarowQBBs7vTwCNUqa_W6ID
hi bram. I was reading the thread and i saw that a while back you where working on a flatbed tow truck. I'd that still in the works?
There is no tow truck in the game, and I can't remember working on it actually. There is a flat bed in level 16, but it cannot tow.
Hey just joined and throwing a question out there. What are the chances of a sandbox mode on mac, been playing the game for ages now and noticed that in the package contents there are files for sandbox mode but I cant see it while in the game? Keep up the good work, great game love the work! Millsy
Millsy, I'm sorry but OSX updates are unlikely at the moment. Sales and download volumes at the Mac App Store are very low. Too low to warrant taking time away from the other ports, or from "The Little Crane That Could 2". http://thelittleengineerthatcould.blogspot.com

120Hz Just a quick note to let you know: This game, since the last update, now runs at a solid 120Hz on iPad Pro. Doesn't drop a single frame.... so smooth! I don't think many games can claim that.
