The Lion’s Song is an episodic adventure game created by Vienna-based independent developer Mi’pu’mi Games. The Lion’s Song is steeped in early 20th century history and focusses on a cast of Austrian artists and scientists with each episode taking a closer look at their intimate struggles with creativity and inspiration. Each episode follows a different character, that possesses an exceptional mind and the game draws players into a story of personal struggle for creativity, human connections and inspiration: A talented composer suffering from writer's block just before her breakthrough concert, an up-and-coming painter growing through his challenges and a brilliant mathematician trying to make her voice heard in a men's world. While episode 4 will take players on a mysterious train journey that connects the storylines of all previous episodes. Emotions will run high as players make connections with each character, and work to navigate and experience their lives in different ways with different outcomes. The choices players make in this episode will have a direct impact on the storylines of all future and past episodes, connecting The Lion’s Song to one overarching narrative. The decisions made will ultimately determine if the protagonists find the success they are working for. In 2016 the game was awarded with the German Developer Award for Indie Game of the Year and in 2017 it received an Honourable Mention from IGF in the category Excellence in Narrative. This game is like a telltale game done in a artistic way with a deep story showing the struggle of artists to reach a vision. I really loved the first 2 chapters that gave me allready about 3 hours of gametime. I still have to play 2 chapters to finalize the first season of The Lion Song but there is no way this game can turn out to be bad anymore. This game did touch my feelings in a very deep way. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #4 metalcasket, Jul 14, 2017 Great game, but the port could use some tightening up. The game doesn't seem to put the phone in standby mode if it's idle, but right about when the screen should in theory turn off, the game crashes and the phone stays on regardless. Also, when that happens, the game seemingly forgets it's respecting the iPhone's silence button once you fire the game up again. Hope they can sort it out for you, we all know how frustrating frequent crashing is. ludka33 Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2013 217 0 16 #10 ludka33, Jul 16, 2017 This looks so good. Managed to complete episode 1 without crashing. Honestly, not a fan of the "tap every hotspot until something happens" gameplay, but I'll stick with it for now out of curiosity. Then, it seems like it wants to go back into a flashback and...crashes. Every single time. Repeated same conditions like 10x. Can't finish the game and it's SUPER frustrating. I haven't gotten to that point yet, but maybe try starting with a different character until they fix it? That's assuming you didn't try that yet... momoking Active Member Jul 17, 2017 35 0 0 #15 momoking, Jul 19, 2017 wow... you've convinced me to get it. kfelicity85 Member May 2, 2013 23 0 1 #16 kfelicity85, Jul 19, 2017 I'm having the same problem!!! kfelicity85 Member May 2, 2013 23 0 1 #17 kfelicity85, Jul 19, 2017 I didn't start with Otto.... and I have a very strong internet connection so surely those can't be the problems.
