Well, it's usually a 3v3 or 5v5 game, each person is a 'champion'. And the point is to destroy the nexus in the opponents base. But before you can do that, you have to destroy all their towers first. And killing your opponents champions gets you money so you can buy items to boost your stats up.
I was using Ashe and Master Yi primarily. But I got so bored of the game because they were almost too easy (even though I was bad)... If that makes sense. haha I've yet to play Xin Zhao, or any of the others you mentioned. I'm level 16, right their with you! I'll add you for sure! My name is: LuckyLabRat
And to expand on that, each game you start from scratch with items and levels. Therefore, noone has an advantage going into the game, other than champ skills and the customizable runes and masteries.
That's about it. But it goes very in depth as far as strategy and action. As I've said before, you're always on your toes cause you do not know what's out there. This game really test your reflexes. Oh and thanks for adding me! I'll try to get a game going next time I'm on.
Yeah. When I carried my team with this build, they said that I shouldn't be using Malady but Last Whispers... Idk, but I got 23-5-8 one game with this build so it still works. And I'll add ya.
Wow! There's a LoL thread here? Sweet!! Good thinking Manofaegis! Well, I play it alot also! Level 30 here!! I mainly play Warwick, Annie, Xin, Shen, and Pantheon. Add me: Allayo, level 30 And Jesusrules, add me too. I can be Xin while you're soraka. I also can tank with morde or dps with Olaf. Lol, so many people haven't heard of the game. I can see why though. I just heard about a few monthes ago by my friends and I was like "what? There's another DotA??". Yup I'm not surprised by those votes. Besides, the game is still rather new
haha, same thing happened with me when I first heard about it . Although I sucked a lot on DotA. I'll be sure to add you
Here's a decent tutorial-like video that shows the basics of a 5v5 game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUtEz_X_ack Also, there's a tuturial of the game that you can do when you first log in. And here's a link to the New User's Guide: http://www.leagueoflegends.com/learn/new_user_guide
I really don't see the appeal of a game that has no clear goal besides leveling up your character that's probably worth a good 7 KB of information.
That really makes no sense. You could say that to just about every concept of any game. Besides, the goal of the game is to destroy the enemies nexus, which proves to require much more than simply leveling up. Really, you should give it a try before bashing it. Its great fun.
Not necessarily. With most games there's a story or campaign and you're done. Maybe some free roam afterwards or multiplayer, but you know when the meat of the game is done. You don't constantly keep on doing the same thing over and over without any end in sight. Stuff like Bioshock, GRiD, Jet Car Stunts, Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, Super Mario Galaxy, etc.
Okay, so you're more of a singleplayer type of gamer. I'm the type of gamer that likes competition. I like to play games that I can improve at and eventually show that I am better than other people or at least try to be. Playing multiplayer games, especially with friends, is enjoyable for me because it allows me to laugh at them and brag that I'm better (if I am) and they do the same if they're better.
To add-on to the other comments, League of Legends does have stories and storylines. The League of Legends is like an arena that many travelers and heroes far beyond from many fantastical lands strive to join. Each character has their own background and story. League is a crazy competitive multiplayer game. It's seriously not for everyone, but for people like my buddies and me who like competition and see who's better than who. The objective is always the same, but there's thousands of ways to reach that objective, or you fail your mission. That's how I see it all. Plus there's plenty of champions to choose from which equals plenty of combinations of teams which equals plenty of strategy. Also, there's plenty of players so that equals variations of skill and strategies, plus you're always playing against new people (unless you're doing clan wars). But, yeah, it looks like you enjoy more singleplayer stuff, or multiplayer exploration adventure and such. But, honestly, once you start, you'll love it. You won't say stuff like, "this game is too repetitive", cause it wouldn't make sense, the only thing repetitive is the scenery of the maps. It's kind of like Modern Warfare 2 online MP, you have a goal, but there's hundreds and hundreds of way of reaching that goal. That's what makes games like League of Legends so addicting. You improve and learn new things, which makes you want to try new things to see if they work.
Yeah, that's exactly why I created this thread... to share strategies and stuff . Also, if anyone was trying to contact me in the game, I was AFK for a long while (forgot to log out), so sorry about that.
@Allayo: I went 17-9-15 with Mordekaiser and got a penta-kill. What sucks is that it was 3v5, and we still lost. Wish you and jesusrules were there so there wouldn't be any leavers. It's funny, Mordekaiser is someone that shouldn't be carrying the team, but I ended up with the best K/D ratio.
Add me: Fallen Ashes or FallenAshes (not quite sure which one ) I'm still a complete newb, but it would be nice playing with people other than strangers. Maybe I can get some good tips On a side note, my first practice game I played with a guy in some sort of ship and he had a gatling gun or something, who am I thinking of and can I play with him in a real game?
A Gatling Gun? I believe that is Corki. He's a guy that flies around in a ship and bombs people. He's not the best nor the easiest but he's a fun character. Oh, and I'll add you. I play tanks, melee DPS, and range AP.
