This level is designed to be done in a certain time (as the moving wall blocks the entrance to the exit hole after a certain amount of time). Also, the track is to thin for me too fit a hole and a ball so you would always fall in. The idea behind this level was that it was a break from the normal 'fall in a hole' scenario and, again, is based on getting through the level quickly. It contradicts the idea of the Labyrinth where you have to be gentle, instead you will find yourself aggressively tilting your iPhone/touch backwards and forwards. You will understand when you play it. Mad
My level pack Patience first was #2 in Top Rated, but after the reboot of the servers it was #19 :S It's #12 now though, it comes back =D
I just tried to publish my third level pack but I keep getting an unknown error. I have not published any level packs in the last 12 hours and none of the levels seem empty enough to be classified as empty. Do I somehow have an invalid level or am I having some weird problem? (levels attached below)
hello all! i just published my first pack, LEVEL PACK #1 (By Scott) any feedback would be appreciated, I LOVE LABYRINTH 2!!!!
Anders! I've just remembered a question I meant to ask literally weeks ago... how much work would be required to allow us to rotate the editor and use it in landscape mode? The 4th level from Keepin' It Retro is what made me think of this, 'cause it's all symmetrical but I'm thinking 99.9% of gamers play with it horizontal (myself included), and it'd be a lot harder to make a symmetrical level with the editor at a 90 degree angle.
I tend to play it in portrait as well. But it depends on the design of the level. I sometimes rotate until I find the best 'side' to play the level from.
Interesting. I play exclusively landscape, I can't imagine trying to keep it still enough with one hand.
Your levels look fine. We have been having problems with our servers though, so it could be some kind of error. Have you tried more than once? As in waited a couple of minutes and tried again?
It's a good suggestion, I'll add it to our list. I think the biggest problem is that the editor is already too wide. Technically it wouldn't be that hard, and it would probably take a day. We have a huuuge list of suggestions (but keep 'em coming!), and I guess we'll do the ones with the most bang for the buck. For instance, new obstacles and being able to search for level pack name I think are more appreciated. Or perhaps a grid in the editor? We'll have a big meeting when everyone gets back (next Monday I think).
Oh yes, please make a grid that you can toggle on and off! I also think you should add L1 to the "our games" list. You should also be able to know how well your level pack is doing (how many downloads, ratings, etc.) and maybe add circular wooden objects to the editor, so you don't have to make them all the time...And how about moving/duplicating several objects at once by selecting them. And in multiplayer, make it clear which ball you have at the start or at the end of the first level. These are my suggestions, but I have to say Labyrinth 2 is a great game!
We want people to play L2, not L1 I guess we want to remove L1 entirely, but then people who bought it can't download it in case they need to re-download it so we won't do that. We learned from ngmoco's mistake with Rolando 1. And all of those suggestions are already on the list
Ok, I just thought it's missing, and then customers will be like "what, just two games" and "huh, who made L1 then?". Your list must be endless, how many words? I love your signature BTW
