Two more previews. Notice the two new buttons in the first image, and on the second one you can see the image being generated in real-time (the images pop up in the picture as they are ready, sort of like a very cool progress bar). Then you can edit the text before sharing.
Very nice. I think only one of my Facebook friends has an iPhone, but I like to show the others what they're missing
Email would be awesome because I don't use Facebook. Is there ever gonna be a way to do that in the game?
Would it be possible for email to get in the update? I know you say not to nag for promo codes but I was just curious, how many do you have left and where do you give them out?
Yeah I hope we can include it, biggest concern is to make it look nice in the UI We have 0 left right now, and we give them out to review sites such as TouchArcade, IGN, Gizmodo etc. You only get 50 so they don't last very long.
Thinking about getting this game, multiplayer is a big factor in my decision, so how does that work? Just whoever finishes the level first wins? How many players is it?
When do you think the update will be finished, approved, and available? Only 50! Wow I thought you got like 200!
It's a race to the goal, and after completing a level you get a scoreboard that displays the current score. It's actually quite frantic! And you tend to play a lot worse when competing so it's a lot of fun. You can play 2-4 players, via Bluetooth or local Wifi.
Our first update got rejected. While it was easy to fix, we decided we would wait to submit a new one until we had some more stuff in it. We won't do that much during Christmas, as one might suspect, but I think we'll submit what we have in the beginning of January or perhaps mid-January. Then it will take one to two weeks for Apple to approve it.
Multiplayer is really beautiful. You see the others as ghosts (just like your highscore, but then different colours) and it stops when the first one is done. Ideas for update: - handycaps, giving someone an advantage of 5 sec. or i.e. 10% of creator's time (or i.e. own high score), or letting the second player begin when the first checkpoint is reached (when there are no checkpoints, start at the same time i.e. An option mensioned before) - letting someone watch (on his own iDevice) instead of playing along, or a 'skip' option (when you hate a level i.e., ofcorse not possible when playing with only two players) Some other ideas for the level editor: - invisible buttons, although this might be abused - moving walls without lines in the bottom (at least an option, for both the creator and the player), so it's a surprise when something moves and it looks better
No, not right now. But it has everything else. You can compete against the level designer's time though, and you are rewarded if you beat it.
Why? Anyway, it is very good. At first I thought there weren't many levels, then realised they were all level packs. Just finished the tutorial, definitely going to be played a lot.
It's quite cumbersome to search for a level by entering a player ID. Perhaps it would be a good idea to be able to find a level by following an url like labyrinth2://AEW62U78/Keepin_It_Retro.
Just because all the signs are there. The first game was excellent and all the good points have carried over and been improved, the dev team has a fantastic record, level editor + downloadable packs provide endless replay value, sparkling graphics make the game pleasing to the eye... there's no significant flaw.
