It's extremely intuitive, very cute, and does a great job of introducing new mechanics as you play. Highly recommended! The graphics and style are really charming. Are the Gold/Silver ratings on each level based on number of moves or time or both? It would be good to know the required moves/times for each level so we know what to aim for Unstablefan Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Feb 22, 2013 858 12 18 #11 Unstablefan, Sep 7, 2017 It seems to be number of moves. Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 48 25 18 #12 Ferulci, Sep 8, 2017 Last edited: Sep 8, 2017 Thank you ! Yes, it is based on the moves number. And thanks for the feedback. We are brainstorming on ways to show this without giving players the feeling they are missing something because they dont get the perfect score. aconfusedkender Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2012 1,362 122 63 Oil & Gas Kendermore, Ansalon #13 aconfusedkender, Sep 8, 2017 I don't think it comes down to people feeling like they are missing anything. You pretty much have your over achievers (who will always strive for the gold) and you have your players (who will just play it and be fine with what they got). You can't please everyone, but some note of how to achieve goals would be nice. Peterplodocus Active Member Sep 23, 2015 38 0 6 #14 Peterplodocus, Sep 8, 2017 I totally agree with this. It would be good to know the number of moves to get gold. I'm just glad it isn't based on time as I like to take my time with these types of puzzles and consider each move Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 48 25 18 #15 Ferulci, Sep 9, 2017 Fair enough ! We'll work on it for the next update. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,121 695 113 #16 anthony78, Sep 9, 2017 Do you need to understand chess to play this? Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 48 25 18 #17 Ferulci, Sep 11, 2017 We designed the game to allow newcomers to enjoy and learn the mechanics smoothly. So far our users and reviewers who didnt play chess dont have trouble progression. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #18 y2kmp3, Sep 13, 2017 Last edited: Sep 13, 2017 I, too, share the sentiment with previous posters that the game should indicate the move goal count or par for each level. I am still very early on in the game and have found the levels to alternate quickly between very straightforward and very tricky (I was quite pleasantly surprised by how clever some of the solutions were in order to hit the move goal counts). Thus, I am not sure if I am simply hitting on the correct solutions by chance or if the levels were specifically arranged to come in waves of difficulty. The move goal count or par will help a lot. Is there an option to skip a level or two so a player can backtrack later? Did I miss this? Also, can you disclose how these move goal counts are derived? Are they based on your own playthroughs or have they been algorithmically checked and therefore represent the best possible solutions? The board size is quite big, so I can imagine that computationally this will be a difficult task. Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 48 25 18 #19 Ferulci, Sep 15, 2017 Thank you for your feedbacks ! - Definitely agree on the move count part. It will help to understand what can be improved. Otherwise on level design we tried to design challenges in 3 parts : introduction (you dont get caught by the piece unless you want it), exposition (the piece starts to be dangerous) and challenge (you have to apply your knowledges to go through levels) - No options to skip levels for now. We've been toying with the idea but for now we prefer to keep it straightforward. For bonus levels though, we will probably allow it. - About the move count : very good question. Although we (kinda) have some ways to check it through algorithm, we prefer to do it manually. It means that in some levels, you can get a better score than the gold threshold. In other news, we are currently working on the next waves of updates : - The first one will be about bug-fixing and introducing 4 new themes. - The second one will introduce move count, new levels, stickers and maayyybe a new game mode. Here is a W.I.P for a new theme What do you think ? If you have any skins/themes you would like to see, let us know ! Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 48 25 18 #20 Ferulci, Sep 28, 2017 Hi everyone ! We released an Autumn update that is available now ! -4 new themes for customization -new leaderboards -gameplay improvements : you can now see the gold moves needed to finish a level. - a new language (german) - bug fix (like the one related to sound mentionned in this topic) It also improve performances for iOS11/Watch OS4 users.
