Simple HD Combos: King So I figured out a nice little HD combo with King that I find is a bit easier to do than the one in Combo Training and also does more damage: j.K s.P df+K HD df+K Trap Shot Tornado Kick Trap Shot Tornado Kick EX Surprise Rose Neo Max If you do it right, you should net about 833 damage compared to the 629 you get for the training mode combo and it'll require about 3 power stocks. Part of the trick is, when you go from the second Tornado Kick into Ex Rose, you've got to wait until your opponent's body falls to about King's chest before you hit it. It'll give you one extra hit when she kicks them up in the air and it makes a bit of difference. Also make sure you execute the jumping kick deep (so King's foot is hitting closer to your opponent's legs rather than their head or chest height) as it makes the beginning couple moves easier to combo together. I've got a couple simple but effective combos with her and Robert that I'll post when I've had a chance to refine them.
So i got bored started doing all the combos in combo trainig for every character, and there is only one combo i cant do, all the others are done. Chin's (drunken old guy) last combo, it seems my fingers arent fast enough for the first set of the combo, down down+P +P, down down+k+k, HD, K This is the part i cant complete, any tips?
Not liking all this anti Duolon strategies talk :| I could have sworn though the stun from the blocked rekkas puts him at the advantage for the sweep after the command evade. Wish i could set that up in training like in Volt. You have to put everything in manually since the overhead is not there to allow for the P shortcut. Right after the double punches come out, begin to hammer on down and K simultaneously...it should come out no problem. That looks easy enough to be able to come out on a whim after a little training...especially if just the straight slide>HD>slide starter. Im going to have to be super aware of your run ins from now on!
Hey docta. Yeah man some of the matches from Eco were epic! I am so stoked to see the community here is finally posting and sharing combos and more match making I happening. Always down to play. Been playing on roulette and finding out that I lose a lot more without my usual team but I like learning all the carachters. Hate hate hate Athena with a passion, but people probably hate my daimon. Anyways I've been playing a lot less. I hit the 4100 win milestone with about 430 loses. And just got a lot of live music shows to go to, but always down to play!
It was in July of last year that SNK Playmore brought their classic fighting game franchise to iOS with The King of Fighters-i [$2.99], and it was the only game that could really stand up to the then current standard for touch screen fighters Street Fighter IV [$4.99], and in many ways it even exceeded it. Which series you prefer is largely a personal preference thing, but I always felt that The King of Fighters-i edged out Street Fighter IV in overall quality and playability. The problem was that by the time The King of Fighters-i hit the App Store, the superior sequel to Street Fighter IV had already been out for a month. It was called Street Fighter IV Volt [$4.99] and it came packing everything that made the original game so great plus additional characters, new features, and most importantly online multiplayer. The online matchmaking worked surprisingly well in Volt, and despite The King of Fighters-i being absolutely fantastic it was still just a single player- or Bluetooth multiplayer-only game, and online battling was the new hotness. Now nearly a year later SNK Playmore is taking a page out of the Volt handbook with the just-released The King of Fighters-i 2012 [$3.99]. This latest entry in the iOS KOF series contains everything from the first game that was great in addition to – much like the release of Volt – new characters, new features, and online WiFi multiplayer. Since basically everything from the first game is included in the 2012 edition, you might want to read our original review of KOF-i as well as the details of its extensive update to get the nitty gritty on the game. As for what’s improved in The King of Fighters-i 2012, for starters the roster has been significantly expanded from 20 playable characters to 32. Art of Fighting, Psycho Soldier, Kim and Ikari are the 4 new teams of 3 that make up the new additions. Also, there are 2 more characters – Nests-style Kyo and Classic Iori – available as DLC for $1.99 each. These are alternate versions of existing characters, and they’re certainly entirely optional purchases, but it will be interesting to see if more characters end up coming down the road and if they’ll be paid or as a part of free updates. The single player part of the game includes everything that was in last year’s version: an arcade ladder in 3v3 team battles or 1v1 flavors, an endless survival mode, and an excellent training mode. The lengthy Challenge mode from the original game returns, with some new challenges thrown in for good measure. A brand new single player addition to KOF-i 2012 is a Time Attack mode. Here you must battle through 10 straight opponents as quickly as possible, with a Game Center leaderboard tracking your best overall time. Time Attack is a nice addition to an already great single player offering in The King of Fighters-i 2012, but that’s not why we’re here. We came for the multiplayer. Naturally, the Bluetooth local multiplayer mode from the original game made its way into 2012, and remains a fine option for squaring off against a buddy in your same vicinity. However, the real draw in the new online WiFi multiplayer mode. The online portion for KOF-i 2012 works about how you might expect if you’re familiar with Volt – that is, it’s pretty good but not great. Naturally there is a bit of lag at times, but nothing too earth-shattering. Finding a match can also take a long time but I imagine that will clear up a lot as more people get the game. When talking about real-time multiplayer on a mobile device like the iPhone, it’s hard to expect perfection. For what it is the online matchmaking in KOF-i 2012 is really fun for people who get tired of fighting against the CPU all the time. With the right expectations, it really is a killer feature of the new game. So, with a large portion of The King of Fighters-i 2012 being nearly identical to last year’s release, whether or not you should buy this new edition will hinge on how important new characters and online play is to you. With a whopping 12 new fighters added to the roster, I think it’s worth upgrading just for that, and people in our forums are totally digging the new version too. Along with a decent online offering and KOF-i 12 is likely a worthy upgrade for fans of iOS fighters. One thing is for sure though, Street Fighter IV Volt now has some serious competition, and it looks like the future is pretty bright for fighting games on the App Store.
I think Mansbag needs to post some secrets nice record. Who are ur mains? I need to stop putting Street fighter logic into this game. EX moves seem to have no invincibility. Block stun is way to long in this game! Argh!
There is a section in record in my card i cant access, the app just crashes when i try to open it. Is next to the wifi data section, and before the time attack section. Im betting its the endless battle section but i wonder why it crashes the app. Edit: never mind i figured i have to stick with the original teams
I suck really i havent played online much, i have like 8 wins 20 loss. Edit: just this morning made it 11W-21L, i need to play more online Seems hard to punish some moves in KOF, and almost impossible to hit your opponent always blocking
Thanks pooter. My mains are Goro, Shen And takuma. My secret is aggression (also my downfall), and mind games. Every carachter has the ability to over power any other carachter I try to abuse them. Goro is a beast and Is a mean match up against Athena. Unless they get lucky. Shen has some mean easy combos that have won me thousands of matches. And takumas ability to zone out when in trouble is just so important for my team sometimes. So happy people are buying the game and playing!
yeah man, i also want to have matches with you, it would be fun playing with you, but i am not able to connect to you, its always good to play with pooter
We have similar play style. Aggresive, Except my execution is good for 70 % wins ....and I jump too much. you still have any videos up? Trying to learn some new techs with Shen. I just can't find a solid third character. Trying Ryo but man, lag kills his corner traps. You two would be a blast to watch play. I think you know me all to well now
yes pooter, i have been practicing more and more lately with leona, she used to be my key player in 1999-02, but then i left game and now i started playing it again, so there is lot to catch up. i tried to play with mansbag510, but it seems i can't connect to him, but it connects to you perfectly. its always fun to play with you, would you be online tonight?
I should be on at about 10pm est. hit me up then. Should we do sets of three then reconnect? Maybe it will help our lag that comes later in our sets.
Yeah it's fairly easy. I don't have really fantastic execution so I can't always do the HD combos they have in Combo Training so I end up having to create my own. I may come from the ground, I may come from the air, but you'll never know until it's too late [/trollface] Yeah I've been playing more Ranked roulette too. Sorry I haven't sent an invite in awhile. We've been having this SF4 tourney lately so I've been trying to get un-rusty at that haha! But yeah I'm excited too! There's a KoF-i 2012 Facebook page (I think you may have pointed me to it actually) but I think it's mostly Spanish-speaking. But if any of those dudes want to come here and play, maybe you could hit them up and see if they're interested (no doubt your Spanish is better than mine xD ) Congrats on the 4100 wins! I need to take cue from you and start going to more shows myself.
Simple HD combos: Takuma I may regret posting this one what with Mansbag around. Simplified Takuma HD combo: j.P db+P HD db+P EX Hien Shippu kick Kyokugen Hien Shippu kick Kyokugen Hien Shippu kick Ryuuko Ranbuu super Max Cancel You can charge the EX Hien Shippu while hitting the db+Punches and then you're juggling them until you hit the Super. All the Shippus and Kyokugens need to be done in pretty rapid succession to keep them in the air but the timing of the super is somewhat precise. Do it too early or too late and you'll miss them. I got it to do about 22 hits and about 783 damage, which is less than the combo in training mode but I find it's a hell of a lot easier too.
Yea the stand punch, step kick, to ex shippu seems hard, but after i practice it like 200 times, seems so easy to pull off. An cool reset combo, with the exact amout of bars you just described in your combo would be. Jump P db p ex shippu Kyokugen Ex zaretsu or zanretsu (have plenty of time to pull off) Command grab Db p Ex shippu Kyokugen Ex zanretsu or zanretsu Command grab db p (should build you an extra bar by now) Ex shippu Kyokugen Shippu Shippu Stand P RESET Command grab (do any normal combo you like cause no more cancels or ex bars) I suggest stand P, step kick combo If you saved an ex bar with zanretsu or 2 ex bars you can do EX 3 fireball super or normal ryukoo ranbu super MAde it easy to pull off Edit: Hard version Jump P Stand P Forward kick ex shippu Kyokugen Shippu Shippu Stand P Ex zaretsu Command grab Stand P Forward kick Ex shippu Kyokugen Shippu Shippu Stand P Ex zanretsu Command grab (should build you an extra bar by now) Stand P Forward kick Ex shippu Kyokugen Shippu Shippu Stand P RESET Command grab Stand P Forward kick Zanretsu
