I just find it too risky to try to pull of HD/Max Cancels in this game. Half the time you end up dropping because of lag spikes. My last char is Andy and I mainly go for cancels/EX hadokens. Seems better than waiting for that one good open opportunity for MAX shenanigans :)

Your timing is good but yeah what I meant was lag was killing you. I lucked out many times :D And no, I don't want to play you when you're ready lol because those matches where as serious as I get so it's downhill for me :D

If I had more time I would today. Maybe tomorrow. I'm in USA (EST)

Since u mastered Leona, any tips on the last combo challenge? I can't for the life of me figure out charging both moves back to back.

the funny thing is lol i can't figure that out myself as well :D, that charge is a failure for myself as well, so other than that i do my own combos,

ok when you come online today or tomorrow, send me an invitation to play, if i am not around i will get notified and will have some good matches

Yeah I find the same thing. I'm more of a basics/footsies player and I just never even think to turn on HD really because it just doesn't seem as good a use of meter for a one time combo that I'll likely drop. xD

Doulon has an HD with just a simple rekka pattern that has an easy way to start too. I would put him at the end sometime just to try it, but his damage output is garbage.

    Good set Aapkae.

Next time send me the invite and maybe lag will be better. Horrible on my end, or maybe it's just my skill :D That last Andy HD pissed me off so bad. I even tried to compensate lag and nope. Wiffed. :D

I've used benimaru 500 times and still can't play him for sh!t. I just can't get him to hop. Don't know why. Lol. If only I had a decent third character.

    Nonetheless! Nice beatdown.

ok pooter, i will send you invite next time, and yes it was fun playing, this lag comes all of a sudden, and sometime the whole timing of game is lost

I usually wind up figuring out bastardized versions of the HD/Max combos they have in combo training that are a lot easier to do and do almost as much damage, but again, I almost never think to use them.

Duolon's crazy! Watching some of the Mad KoF matches from Evo, his Duilon seemed almost invincible! o_O

I know, ive watched those grand finals i dont know how many times! I was definately the most pumped watching KOF than any other game during this years EVO and im glad i got to see 3 of my favorite characters get represented by both guys.

It was pretty crazy seeing Mad KOF almost get 2 OCVs in a row on that ZeroBlack, i think his name was, with Duolon. For sure the most trouble for Bala, alongside Chin.

yeah i saw madkof matches, bala plays defensive, the best thing which can counter duohlon in my opinion is either king or leona, and for chin i would say he should have tried clark, since he plays to close to chest with chin and clark would be spare a chance of grabbing him

for duhlon king and and leona are perfect since they got speed and quick recovery.

Manual inputs for last leona challenge ive done it before,

for the charge down sp + charge down back sp move you have to
Charge down back then up back+Punch then forward+Kick
    db, ub+p, f+k

Impossible to do with sp assist, you can play leona sp assist but this part of the combo has to be done manually
    Demostration

    EDIT:
I found the sp assist way to do it but its harder since it has to be done very fast
Charge down back, (FAST) down+SP, (FAST) down back+SP

Wow, can't believe how easy that was with your explanation. Never thought you could buffer it that way.

    Thanks Capt!

I saw that match he played vs ZeroBlack and it was bad. >_< It took Zero's third character to finally knock out Mad KoF's first. Pretty much every character on Kof's team he played like it was his best. But those Evo matches were awesome. This is a fun game to watch and to play.

Btw sorry I didn't respond to you invites last night. I was trying to get some sleep cuz I had to get up super early today. :/

Duolon doesnt have much in the way of damage output but he can scoop you up really easily and combo you to death. I find just rushing him down is probably the best way to go jut because those little limb attacks he has will kill you. They don't do much damage on their own but eat enough of them and it stacks up quick. I agree with you about King and Leona being good counter picks.

Are you on the Morth America server?

No i am in Asian regions, but it let me connect to most of the US users,

yes duolon is good, but i find it that its always best to stay close to him, this way you get good chances of doing damages and opening for his little attacks, most annoying player on iphone version i have found are athena and diamon,

how about some friendly matches? i am sure it will be fun playing with you

it makes him faster and do more combo hits

Chin "drinks" are damage multipliers. Every drink makes him do more damage and gives him access to his F + super.

    It's like Shen's golden glow.

Simple tip against duolon is if they Rekka x 3 and then evade for cross up on block, a simple sweep will stop that shenanigan. But yeah, closing the gap fast is best against Duolon

I find Athena and Kula the worst. They both need to be given longer recovery on every move. Athena's fireball recovers too fast. Can't hop or roll, so wtf?

Kula is like kyo where she can combine all her specials and use no drive whatsoever. Ugh. Not to mention the amount of meter it builds.

I hate Athena and I completely agree she needs more recovery on her fireball and uppercut moves. Most characters can't get a move out in time to beat it. Either that or I'm just using the wrong moves. But she's like the ultimate character. She has moves that can shut down pretty much any style of play. It's no wonder so many people use her. >_<

Kula just has a lot of really fantastic moves. Her SRK goes so far across the screen, she can punish a lot. She's a character I'm surprised people don't use more often.
