No 1 the save anywhere! No doubt Two the controls But it's still a classic like secret of manta the port may not be perfect but the game is classic RPG goodness
About to enter Moore Forest after I raid this town for more weapons and magic Am I close to end of world 2 if I'm This far?
I've taken out the tower, and visited the sage. It's time to hit the forest. I think I made the same mistake I made in the Final Fantasy replay back in January. I'm very much over leveled at this point. I pretty much ran through the tower on auto battle, and only hit a hiccup with Atmos where I used Return to restart that battle and then win. I'm pretty sure I'll run into trouble again and need to do more leveling, but for now I'm not being challenged all that much. That does not mean I am not enjoying this game. I definitely regret not playing it prior to now. It's a pretty amazing game and definitely lives up to the standard set by Final Fantasy I, IV, and VI for us US players.
I'm with you I'm very powerful too right now I had a hiccup with the yellow dragons in the chest but used the ninja scrolls on rerun and made easy work of it Atmos was different it took him forever to die I didn't die on him at all but it was a very long battle Other than the bosses the enemies were super easy to deal with We are at the same spot
Inside Exdeaths castle there are some tough spots The blue dragon is no joke but he only heals my samurai but the others taken out fast I'm very close to fighting Carbunkle I can see where he is just have to figure out how to navigate the lava to get there I'm gonna take Carbunkle on with a thief, two summoners and a samurai since I have Gil to spare
Exdeath just tore me a new one in the first battle I think I learned some stuff though and will try again He's no joke I forgot to cast float and golem so maybe doing that will help Whipped his arse barely survived but I got it done ha Now world 2 finished
I've had to stop playing secret of mana because the save system is way too inconvenient for mobile gaming. All ports like that should at least come with a save state button and system.
A-freaking-men! Saving issues are what's scaring me about FFIII. I've heard stories about that final run in the game. On topics, I'm in the merged world. My son totally called the splinter reveal. This is a very different story and game from my favorite main series FF, Final Fantasy VI. And that's good.
Even in this one you have to be careful One time I had to stop and I went back and accidentally messed up my quicksave and lost 30 mins of play I'm now over 25 hours How much time are you cuz I know you're in a similar.l area I've taken it slow really
To be fair the Chrono Trigger has a form of quick save. You can bookmark if you need too. But the FFV is one if their best ports I think. Where Chrono Trigger heats up the ipod and drains the battery in a very short time while FFV runs so smoothly. Also FFV can look stunning while CT is blurry compared to 3DS. Honestly no reason to play it on the phone, I just couldn't find the cart and I was going to buddy play it so I had to start it. The Mana port has the save issue, but I fins it quite amazing opening the app with earphones and hearing that incredible opening music! I love Dragon Quest ports too, they are great, escpecially I-VI! Can't wait to Fiesta! Only seven days I think! Wrapping up sidequests in CT before taking on Lavos.
Beat Chrono Trigger ^^ While I wait for Fiesta I'm continuing my playtroughs of Chain of Memories and Bravely Default. I might play Chutulu Saves the World too since it's short.
26 hours. Had to take a break yesterday and didn't get to really play. Today I cleared two shrines in the merged world and got Phoenix and Bahamut. Forked Tower is next.
Thanks! Played some more last night. Cleared the forked tower, then hit the basement of Castle of Bal. Glad to see the Jackhol cave pay off in the merged world. I was wondering what it's deal was in the first world. Then hit Istory Falls. The Leviathan reveal was pretty cool. Also hit the Legendary Weapons. Didn't realize I could pick up three at a time. Thought I'd have to wait and get the set together. Tempted not to get the last tablet as I'm not sure I really need Meteor at this point and the last three sealed weapons are kinda useless for my team. But I'm enjoying the game enough I'm more than willing to hit another dungeon.
Wow! Good progress I took a day break and now got to dive back in I spent that day playing part III haha now I'm 9 hours into it sheesh but I'm back to V when I get home
Ok, 29:30 game cleared. Whew. Finished around level 42. This is my first time with FFV and I have to say I'm impressed. I have more thoughts to write up, but I'll stop and let the game sit for a minute. I beat VI last month and I'm going to head for IV next.
I missed Ultima and Shinryuu on the first run through the void. I went back in and got both though it was really rough. All that remains is the bonus dungeon.
I'm terrified of the bonus dungeon, but I feel I need to try. Ultima beat me silly 9 times before I got him on the 10th. I "cheated" and used Berserk on Shinryuu and still nearly lost. No idea what happens with Omega Mk II and Neo-Shinryuu.
