    Hi all,

The Jamzu Daily Double 3 starts tonight, Saturday May 22, at 8:30pm EDT!

$115 in iTunes Gift Cards will be given away in this contest.

Contest times will be every evening at 8:30pm EDT. This series will have a "one win only" rule. A Daily Double win, or the first correct guess for either position, will qualify a player for the Thursday Triple Twist. There will be five Daily Doubles from May 22-26, and then the TTT will run starting 10am Thursday, May 27th, and concluding at 8:30pm. The "one win only" rule means if you have won a Daily Double contest in the JDD 3 series, you won't be able to enter again until the Triple Twist.

    Prizes:
    - A $15 iTunes Gift Card for each Daily Double winner.
    - A $25 First Place and a $15 Second Place iTunes Gift Card for the Thursday Triple Twist.

May 22-27 results (No repeat winners for the JDD 3 series):
Congrats to Khamous for the first day win!

Several big updates, including Jamzu 1.3 with a graphics redesign and new skins, are scheduled for mid-May and early June release.

    Jamzu 1.3, (mid-May) will include:
    - Completely redesigned look for Jamzu, including skins

Check out the Jamzu 1.3 Preview! Awesome new skins!

Jamzu 1.31 (early June) will include:
    - iPad version
    - OpenFeint

    March 24-28 results:
Congrats to TheSporkWithin for the first day win!
Congrats to TheSporkWithin for First Place in the Thursday Triple Twist!
Congrats to cathy for Second Place in the Thursday Triple Twist!
Khamous wins Day 3 of the Daily Double. Congrats Khamous!
Another win for TheSporkWithin on Day 4 of the Daily Double. Congrats Spork!
Congrats to Khamous for the final day win!

$100 in iTunes Gift Cards were given away in this contest.

The Thursday Triple Twist starts at 10am March 25, when three Jamzu positions will be posted in this thread. The best moves for these will all be jammer moves. The first player to submit the best moves for each position will win the $25 iTunes GC prize. Each player gets *one guess only* which must be submitted only via PM. If no player has guessed all three correct moves by Sunday March 28 at 3pm EDT, then an open round will start. As many guesses (all by PM!) as you want, until the prize is won! Second Place Prize for the Triple Twist: All players (except the First Place winner) who have submitted a guess with at least two correct moves before 3pm Sunday will be entered in a random draw for a $15 iTunes Gift Card.

    February 22-26 results:
Congrats to haffertee for the first day win!
Congrats to Khamous for the second day win!
Congrats to haffertee for the third day win!
Another repeat! Congrats to Khamous for the fourth day win!
A third win for Khamous on the final day! Khamous proved his Jamzu Move Champion 2010 title was well-earned.

How it works for the Daily Double:

    1. I will post two Jamzu positions.

    2. The first player to put up a post with the best moves for both positions wins the $15 iTunes Gift Card that day.

    3. Each day's contest will open with a round of 10 minutes. A player can put up one post with both best moves in this first round. The moves must be posted, not PM'd.

    4. If there is not a winner after the first round, I will PM any player who has guessed at least one move correct, telling them the move is correct.

    5. I will then put up a post saying a new round of 10 minutes is open, and after that post is up, anyone can put up another single post, with both move guesses, in this second round.

    6. If there is still not a winner after two rounds, I'll repeat the PM step above. I'll then put up a post starting the open-ended round. In the open-ended round only, you can post guesses as many times as you want.

    7. To prevent possible cheating or confusion, any post that is edited will be automatically disqualified, so please be careful with your typing.

    8. New players may start in any round, and join on any day.

    9. You may post just your moves. No descriptions or reasons required.

    10. Please use this kind of notation for your moves: (1) G4-D7.

This would mean that for position one you are suggesting a move from square G4 to square D7. For a runner move, you may just give the first square.

That's all the rules! If anyone has questions about the contest, please PM me or ask in this thread.

For a great collection of Jamzu strategy tips, please take a look at the best moves from the previous contest here:

The previous contest positions were pretty tough, and The Jamzu Daily Double will have more of a mix of easier and tough positions.

    Have fun! :)

    Cheers,
    ~Doug

(#2 is a legal move, correct? B7 to A6 then up to C4 and bounce back to B5?)
