Anyone who thinks 'iPhone' is spelled 'Iphone' obviously haven't spent enough time with it/realise it's advantages.
3 years faster than others. It became popular because it's the first multi touch mobile phone. It was released 3 years ago and we're seeing the first competitors in these days. Gaming on Mac is not the point, at this moment. iPhone doesn't have a flash on the camera and I don't find it necessary. If you thought it was necessary, why did you buy it? If I want a short car, I don't buy a limousine. I'm pretty sure you were with your friends last night, they started taking photos and you realized your phone doesn't have a flash on the camera. Suddenly you got depressed. To watch video you have the YouTube application. Oh, wait, are you talking about YouPorn videos? Well, it's not as simple as watching YouTube, but still there are some solutions to watch them online. Again: why did you buy an icecream if you wanted to eat a carrot? That's why the Internet is full of iPhone/Blackberry/Palm Pre reviews. They do that for you, so that you can decide which device suits you. One more thing: other phones don't have the App Store and the iPhone OS, just in case you're going to complain they miss it.
haha did you do much research when you purchased this then? i often think some people lose their rag way too easy and express it quite colourfully on a web forum without really much research, tho i wouldnt give up on it just yet. anyways, i got ma iphone for free, just pay my monthly fees for total phone and gaming goodness! couldnt give a toss about the camera either, id buy a cheap digi cam if yer that desprate to take pics in a dark corner.
At least this is another idiot gone who would have complained that Avatar the Game had awful 3D effects compared to the movie.
The iPhone is a phone. I think that pretty much answers all of your concerns except the text message ringer. You can simply jailbreak and install 3rd party software to change it. It's perfectly legal, and you're doing something to make Apple mad, which is even better. If your iPhone fails in phone functionalities then that's a different story. As far as I know, no other handheld device has as much functions as the iPhone. The iPhone is the cost of one and a half DS. In return you get the combination of a phone and a netbook, packed onto a device even smaller than the DS. There's nothing to complain. If you didn't like the phone why did you buy it in the first place? It's common sense to research what it can do before making a rather large purchase. Oo
