I have a 128 gb 6 plus and before that I had a 4S and I can vouch that the 4S is way tougher than the plus. i never used a case with my 4S and I dropped it a few times on its lifetime and it never got anything more serious than a small scratch. Im not saying that the plus is poorly made though, its just that the 4s is sturdier. On Topic: what I like about the Plus is the size, it has made really easy to get work done on it and the extra space is awesome on games too. What I miss the most from my old 4s is the comfort of one hand use and the ability to easily store it on my pants or jacket pocket. All in all is an awesome upgrade and im really happy with it.
mines working alright 6 is the right no. now.... idk why people are complaining, about 6, well you shouldnt have bought it if you still complaining about, what can you do about it. sell it hahhaha. mines working perfectly fine so far. i have no complaints about my phone. its sexy as hell and m lovin it!!!
I knocked my 6 off the roof of my car and I thought only the side of it took a ding. Later I found out that the mute switch was broken too - I couldn't unmute it any more. I think the thing is a bit less sturdy that previous phones, though that was a pretty big drop and I did knock it off, so it was moving relatively fast. I'd recommend a case for sure. For my replacement 6 I opted for Apple's silicone case for it and I like it. It looks pretty nice and will provide impact protection.
Try the verus iron shield. It looks so awesome especially if you got a gold iPhone 6 and some nice protection
No case will provide protection provided the impact is of sufficient force - I am sure you know that. Unfortunate that the phone got broken. I think that most of us buy the cases, but in reality trust more in not putting the phone in precarious situations, or if we do, thank our lucky stars if nothing bad happened (and maybe the case, but more likely luck...) Good luck with the new phone. I guess you purchased the accident protection program?
AppleCare covers (I think only one, but not sure) accidental damage. So it paid off in this case. And then I got a case. I do think the silicone case would have protected it.
I don't know the D30 cases made by Tech 21 had some pretty crazy live tests including dropping iphones from the top of a staircase onto gravel. I did have one on my last phone but while the protection was excellent the front flap quickly deteriorated to the stage I didn't want to use it anymore. Makes me wish other companies were licensed to use the D30 material. At the minute I'm using a Trident Cyclops on my G3 it seems almost as good but I don't like the built in screen protector much.
Hmm. I never checked that stuff out. I can't figure buying a sleek item and the encasing it in some huge shell. Seems to me like buying a Ferrari and then buying a Hummer body to put over it in order to protect it. But, I understand peoples desires to keep something like new. I do to, I just take the precautions with the raw item, and try and keep the risks low. So far I have never had a problem, and the Ferrari still looks great too ( just kidding on the Ferrari -can't afford anything but a picture of that car).
For me, I initially thought the 64GB option was too much memory, and with nothing in between (jumping from 16GB to 64GB...what happened to making a 32GB option?), I went ahead and got the 64GB. No regrets so far. The rest of the phone is near perfect.
