No it won't be called either the iPad or the iTablet or anything else being thrown around the web (Newton, iZac etc.)

Just remember, you heard it here first, a week before anyone else could confirm the name of the device.

Anyways, getting back on topic, here are the specs for the iPhone to be unveiled in June 2010 and released July 2010.

    1080p Video Recording

5.0 Megapixel Camera with Flash and a much much bigger lens so that it actually takes decent photos even in very low light situations

    OLED Screen with 720 x 480 Resolution

    2GHz Capable Cortex-A9 Processor

    4G Capable

    Wifi N

Bluetooth 3.0 With Wireless Syncing and File Transfers

    64 GB

    512MB-1GB of eDRAM

HD Antenna and TV Tuner (There are constantly hd tv signals being broadcast by ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. We will finally be able to tap into those signals so that end users can watch tv on our phones wherever we are without using up AT&T and Verizon's bandwidth.) This was impossible an year ago. But in October of 2009, ATSC approved a mobile DTV over-the-air format made just for portable devices including cell phones. It will let you watch live broadcasts of H.264 video even while moving at high speeds. Apple played a role in this development, and this technology will be implemented into the next iPhone.

You'll be hearing about the technology shortly I'm sure.

HD Radio Tuner & FM Transmitter

HDMI TV Out/Projector Out So We Can Run High Res Movies & Slideshows Stored on Our Phone onto our HDTVs.

A Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone (the same technology being used in the iSlate)

Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone will be much smaller, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen)

Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, only while connected to Wifi N

    iChat Support

Flash Support (Yes you will finally be able to use Hulu on the iPhone)

RFID Chip & IR Chip (The iPhone will be usable as a universal remote)

    Removable/Replacable Battery

Over the air sync with Macs, Apple TV, PC Servers etc, so that we can stream HD Videos off of PCs to iPhones anytime the end user has WiFi Access, the same method will enable streaming HD Content from iPhones to HDTVs

Touch sensitive corners so that apps can be used, and websites/newspapers can be scrolled without blocking the screen

    Louder & Dual Speakers

A sexy looking gamepad addon that adds dual analog sticks and dual triggers to the iPhone

A new design that incorpates a much much bigger battery.

Available on both Verizon & AT&T

Just about every single upgrade the 3gs made (double the ram, double the 3g speed to 7.2, almost double the processor, a much better camera, a 480p video etc etc) was all considered just a geeks wishlist too, and yet it alll came true. Hell rumors of an apple phone was widely though a geeks wishlist too. And that came true. So why wouldn't these rumors (the new omnivision 5mp 1080p videocamera, the 9th gen vx 2ghz processor, double the ram, double the hdd space, the same wifi N chip that's in the iPods that came out last month etc). All of those upgrades make perfect sense are simply the next iteration of the same components found in the 3gs.

If the iPhone 4G pulls this off, I could easily see it leaving Nokia, Blackberry, Andriod and every other Smartphone in the dust.

What exactly don't you think can be feasibly implemented into the next iPhone?

Point me to anything on that list and I can show you a smaller device far cheaper than the iPhone that already offers that same feature, or is scheduled to start doing so by next summer.

Heck, the $230 Microsoft Zune that came out three months ago already includes many of the features on that list. And it costs less than a third of what the iPhone costs.

Remember, Apple gets paid $700-$800 for each iPhone. ($200-$300 from the end user and another $500 from the carrier). Plus, Apple makes a boatload of money on Apps.

Every single feature above can easily be implemented into an $800 device by next summer.

Game Reaper, you have very little credibility when you claim that...

A 5.0 MP Camera with Flash is never gonna happen. The Omnia phone takes 12.1 megapixel photos with flash, the Google Phone takes 5 Megapixel photos with flash. It's almost a guarrentee that the iPhone 4G will be able to as well.

As for 720P Vidoe Recording. Never Going to Happen? Seriously? That's what people said about 480p recording a few months ago, and the 3GS came out and proved them wrong. The $200 Flip Recorder that's smaller than the iPhone takes 1080p video these days. So there's no reason why a $800 phone won't.

A Backlit OLED screen is a major feature of virtually every single recent Driod phone as well as the $230 Zune. So it's pretty much a guarentee on the iPhone 4G.

Every single thing on the list is very feasible.

Apple released a new iPhone June/July of every single year like clock work. So a new iPhone next June/July is pretty much a guarentee. Evidence is already out there that Apple is testing this new phone under the device name 3,1. So what's wrong with speculating about what it might include?

Nothing is wrong with speculating, it's just that half of your suggestions are laughable, I really don't know why geeks still persist in the delusion that Apple are spec chasers.

Apple actually are spec chasers. The palm pre had great specs, and then the iPhone 3GS came out and blew those specs out of the water.

iPhones and iPods consistently tried to stay at the top of the market in terms of specs with each new iteration.

When the Zen came out and outdid the iPod's in specs, the very next iteration of the iPod blew the Zen's specs out of the water.

I fully expect the iPhone 4G to blow the Zune's specs out of the water, the same way the 3GS blew the Palm Pre's specs out of the water.

Evidence suggests that you're wrong about that. In the past, Apple has shown that it is very receptive to feedback from users.

Video recording, smudge resistant coating, and several other features were heavily requested by iPhone users and then made their way into the 3GS.

So I think threads like this DO make an impact. They tell apple what it's userbase/fans would like to see, and then Apple often works to make it happen.

They don't need to blow the Zune specs out of the water because specs don't matter to Apple in the long run. As long as they're 'good enough' apple is satisfied. You see, the vast majority of people don't really care about OLED screens and powerful GPUs, they just want something that works. And that's why the iPod has over 75% of the media player market, because Apple focuses on providing a great experience to the user, not bringing them hardware and specs they don't need.

The Zune HD, Satio, Droid, etc only really appeal to geeks and nerds, the iPod and the iPhone appeal to everyone.

hate to break it to you but only 1 country has "real" 4G capabilities on their network, and the last time I checked, we're at least 10 years off for 4G networks in the US. Not sure where you're located though.

phone is one thing, but network is another.

Sure there are 4g phones, that have 4g capabilities other than network, but isn't network the most important?
