I think ipad pro is too big and too expensive and his keyboard is too expensive also, i think i will stay with laptops
I have a Jot Pro for my mini and it works fantastically, and It's also about $100. In terms of the iPad Pro, this thing looks amazing, and so does the 6S! What a great year for iOS device releases!
I can't wait to play1000 holes of Desert Golfing on an iPad Pro then take it back to the shop and say 'I'm done now, thanks!'
Same for me. I mainly use it as a laptop. It's actually a terrible tablet, which is why I still have an iPad. Considering a Mini 4 for actual travel. Not interested in the Pro; too big and I have no real reason to want the extra size.
Can you even use a Surface Pro in your lap? It doesn't look like that would work at all, that it has to sit on a table, at least if you're using the keyboard. Same is true of the iPad Pro keyboard.
I for one, will definitely buy one, as soon as it is available. Does anyone know this by the way: How will current apps be displayed on the iPad Pro? Will they just expand to the new resolution, just like iPhone games on the iPad?
I would say it'd be like the iPad (1024x768) to iPad 3 and higher (2048x1536) in that it'd just scale proportionately, being that the aspect ratio is exactly the same.
To be fair my Note Pro 12.2 did actually replace my laptop I gave it to my dad actually as I stopped using it, I can't really speak for the iPad pro but I can honestly do everything I really did with actually much longer battery life, I think I average about 13 hours screen on time when I do really push it but it's actually very hard to drain that tablet in a day. Obviously the iPad might be a bit different as IOS doesn't really give you any file system access but the concept of a big tablet works very well in practice, the only downside I'd give it is it's not really suited to reading novels in bed which I did do with my old Nexus 7 but then neither is a laptop.
Some people like the simplicity of iOS as opposed to other operating systems, I prefer a tablet to a laptop simply because there's less mucking around involved and I'm more likely to stay on track and not deviate tweaking some drivers or other system settings. If I want to work I'll use a desktop, if I want to relax, browse or read then I'll use a tablet. If I want to game I'll generally use a console, desktop or tablet. I personally find laptops uncomfortable for all those things.
probably the 9500mah battery and the octocore big/little exynos, when I have pushed the batterylife to it's maximum it's usually from watching TV shows from my MicroSD or my OTG pendrive. I suspect I could actually get a higher batterylife if I disabled some of the base apps as I've seen claims of people getting 15/16 hours screen on time on XDA but to me I can get about 13 hours roughly without taking any special actions which I personally find brilliant. Downsides it's a big pretty heavy tablet and I tend to want my bluetooth keyboard and Bose speaker with me when I use it (although it's built in stereo speakers aren't bad really as it's actually large enough to give a real stereo effect).
Professional designers use dedicated tablets for drawing and they are way more expensive then the iPad Pro+Stylus
