Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I'm tired and refuse to read 23 pages right now. So I downloaded iTunes 9.2 and everything and did a restart. Went back in after restarting to download iOS 4. Clicked it and it brought up a little pop-up that says "Backing up 'iPod Touch'". It loaded about 1% and then just stopped. 'Been there for about 15-30 minutes now. I don't know what the problem is, any suggestions? And damn! I was really looking forward to multi and the background wallpaper. Too frikken bad I have an 8 gig. Dx
Hey Gecko, honestly, I'd say that you should just leave it "backing up" over night or something. If I remember right, some people had a 28 hour pop up box. It's probably because you have rarely synced your Touch with iTunes. It's completely normal and you shouldn't have a problem. Apart from tested patience!
Yeah, probably the syncing thing. I rarely get the opprotunity to since I have a windows 98 that recently broke down. The darn thing wouldn't download iTunes so I have to wait until I can get to a nice computer before I can sync. Other than that I use my iTouch for EVERYTHING. iTunes, Apps, internet, everything. =P I think I'll leave it be for a while. Thanks.
Don't worry mate, set it down for a few hours and go do something else. It will make the wait much easier.
Just wanted to give everyone the heads up that we've just released updates to TRANSFORMERS G1: AWAKENING and How to Train Your Dragon for iOS4 compatibility.
In the same boat. And despite the emphatic "yes you should upgrade" on the first page, I haven't had the courage to update yet.
I want to back up my ipod touch too. \ The only problem is that on one computer: I can't have my computer on too long. The progress is so slow that it seems that it will take more than 6 hours. On the other: It keeps giving the "the back up can't be completed because your ipod is disconnected". I was so close to finishing once, but then the message popped up.
I saw in an iOS4 YouTube video that next to your battery bar you can have the percentage left of battery on iOS4. How can I get the percentage to show?
If you're on a 3GS/iP4. Go to General, Usage and at the very top, Battery Percentage is there, slide it to ON. EDIT: No idea which Touch models have this feature, but give it a try.
I'm backing up my ipod, but suddenly it stopped. It was doing well, making good progress every hour. It should've been done by now or earlier. It's probably been frozen for an hour and a half. Should i just quit now or wait it out? I've been waiting for about 6 hours now.
I plug my iPod into iTunes, but recently the apps haven't been appearing, so I click Sync Apps under the app tab but it says iTunes will delete all game data etc. What do I do? I got betas I need to download but don't wanna sacrifice everything.
Hey guys i left my ipod backing up over night and guess what. It's been 10 hours and it's almost done! Yay, but it hasn't been moving for thirty minutes so i hope to see how this goes.
