it's back, with at least three great games! (which I already owned, damn...) http://www.humblebundle.com/
exactly. braid, osmos, machinarium, cortex command and revenge of the titans. Seems too good to be true, but it's true.
im almost complete with building my arcade cabinet. do you think these two games: Braid, Osmos.. would work with arcade controls, 8 way joystick and buttons. i will have a 4 way stick in my control panel to for games like donkey kong, pacman etc. i also have a 3" track ball that acts as a mouse. with three buttons.. left, middle, right. here is some progress pictures if anyone is bored.. im almost done with it.. started 5 months ago, with a few trips in to the hospital.. im making progress. fyi.. if you build one and you use your own computer and monitor you can build this for 400-500 depending on what speakers you use. http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LGSZUREL2Z5MZSB3LEHT3JPX6E/album/photos thanks for your input. ( aww, hell with it. its for charity. ill just buy it. ) chris. P.S be warned if you build one.. learn from what you do so the next one will be even better, yes my sister and brother want a cab.. so ill be starting on theres soon. laughs.
I'm not sure Osmos would work, you need really precise control so you probably want more than 8 directions. Braid would work fine.
ok cool. yeah braid, sorta thought so watching it.. i spent 10.00 on the games.. thats worth it if just one works for my cab.. forgot to mention my cab will have a spinner too for games like tron, break out etc. chris.
better than the alternative.. not paying.. every penny will help them. i just wish i did not miss the first one.. the goo puzzle game looks great. chris.
I'm pretty sure it didn't have DRM, so if you can find a friend with World of Goo, then you can get it from him.
Note that you get 3 full soundtracks with the bundle (Machinarium, Revenge of the Titans, and Osmos).
ehr, I know, I was trying to say that he was right when he said that the games were the ones reported on top, not when he said they were "braid, osmos and a couple of others"... I can count up to a little more than five however, cortex command seems to be a sort of incomplete beta version, so I'd say they are about four and a half... edit: oh, maybe you are talking about the thread title... well, I posted in the thread of the previous humble bundle, which had 6 games, and I think that a mod created the new thread keeping the old title...
well, it had an individual "pay what you want" initiative, then it went in the humble bundle, then it was in some crazy steam "indie pack" sale... I'm sure there will be other chances.
yeah now i know about it ill be keeping a eye on it. i plan on loading up my arcade box with loads of games.. also looks like i will be updating my 8 way joysticks to these: http://www.ultimarc.com/ultrastik_info.html will give me the control and crazy software mapping ill be able to play more games.. read a rumor that blizzard is coming out with diablo 3 im so buying that.. will try it on the cab if it works so be if not its gonna get used on my pc. heh chris.
How about this... sid187 purchases the Indie Bundle 2 a second time, gives us proof of both purchases, then we let him have the games from the first bundle
To this date, there has not been a single bad game in any of the humblest bundles. Aquaria, Lugaru, Gish and Cortex Command are my personal favourites. However, the point of the humble bundle is really to donate out of that long-forgotten sliver of goodness of your heart After being released DRM-free in the bundles, all these games can probably be very easily pirated, so attaining them is not difficult. But donating a few dollars and thereby owning legitimate copies of them has that warm-fuzzy-feeling advantage
