what a good game I can't believe people complaining about this game. I find this game pretty amazing. I think this is even better than dungelot 3. For 99cents, what more do you want!? Anyway when do you get to choose your skills? I've been saving my points until i get a better handle on the game
You get to choose skill when you have used enough points. Theres a bar between skills raising when you spend points showing how close you are to next skill.
No, it's randomized. I gotten them on two floors in a row and I've played through an entire run clearing every floor (6 or 7 floors) without seeing any.
I just found my first hidden area... the wall was all shimmery... just moved into it and was able to go through into another room. Woo! I had no idea there were hidden areas! =oP
Yes me too!! i was just about to post this. Look for a green shimmer on the wall. It had two chest. The blue chest of the two requires crystals to open it (
I'm not in love with this escape scroll system. I generally have to start 10-20 floors before the one I want just to give myself enough opportunity to get one. And on a couple occasions, I've gone more than 20 floors and never found one.
I've almost always found one in the first 5 floors I'm in. I try and make sure to hit every enemy with a pot behind it since that's where I've always found them... I'm not very far in though - I just saw the boss at floor 20 (or 21, whatever it is) for the first time tonight, so... =o/ I did, however, finally dig my heals in on this one, played for the last couple hours, finally built up some decent enough gear to go through the first 10 floors with no issues at all, usually one hitting enemies, and a couple of spells... So... yay. I haven't fallen into the inventory issues yet either... but I'm constantly deleting crap I don't need and almost always have, at the very leastm 1/3 of my spaces open. I'm really digging the enemy designs. Kinda reminds me of Lenore (that Roman Dirge comic). This and Space Grunts have been the only things that have managed to pull me away from Crashlands... great stuff. =oD **edit** Also, just thought I should mention this - I bought one of those 50 gem chests at floor 16 and got a 55/14 hat with +2 extra gold and +4 light attack. Nowhere near the hat I had ATM... but I figured it was worth it to see if the chests give you items that are close to what you're finding around you, and I'd say the answer is yes, and it's totally not worth it to blow those gems on the chests in the hidden rooms. And - in one of those hidden rooms, on the table to the right of the bed, was a piece of paper. First one I saw, but then I saw 2 more just laying about floors (not in hidden areas) in games after that.
I'm starting at stage 21 now and yea finding an escape scroll can be difficult in the first few levels add finding a gold statue on top of that and man you gotta have some tactics on the runs not like the first few stages!
I've been thinking the same. I'm not too far in, but it seems to me to be essentially Enchanted Cave 2 with a Don't Starve-colored paint job and IAP. I hope I'll be proven wrong.
I was just coming here to post the same thing. The RNG for scrolls is ridiculous, and using crystals to revive is amazingly overpriced. I'm beginning to think this is just a freemium game disguised as premium. t's clear that the game as balanced currently is trying to gouge at least twenty bucks out of you to make the game playable past the first twenty levels. Great scam- Stop spawning escape scrolls, spend 300, then 600, then 900 crystals because you've acquired too much good loot to give up. If this isn't intentional, the RNG needs to be rebalanced immediately.
That's pretty accurate, although I'd say it's a larger, more fleshed out version, with added gameplay mechanics and better art. Its sill a very similar game to The Enchanted Cave series, and it's good that this was made clear in the first couple of pages, including the very first page, so that people know what they are buying. So far I've found it to be superior in every respect to TEC, not just in terms of art, but in mechanics and added features as well. The main downside is of course the iAPs, but haven't had to spend anything so far, though this could change. I doubt they would have charged only a dollar upfront if they didn't include iAPs, so I wouldn't mind if I spend an additional few dollars to permanently unlock more storage. I would have still preferred a fully premium title with a $6-7 AUD upfront cost, but not the worst iAP scheme either. I've already spent more time with this than TEC2, but as mentioned, it is a very similar game with the same basic mechanics.
I've been finding scrolls fairly regularly. And while I agree that the revive cost is too high, I'd actually prefer to see the revive / escape system removed completely. This is a roguelike and these are just mechanisms for making things easier. I think it would be cool to just have like a spawn to town every 10 levels so it gives you even more reason to pick your battles. Like deciding whether it's worth taking a risk to kill the two enemies blocking a chest or go around them when those choices are available.
Tap on the pick axe and the screen will turn purple. Then tape on a section of the wall and it will disappear. It's really helpful for getting around enemies that are blocking your path but you can't afford to fight at the moment.
Am I the only one with crash issue? My game crashes each time I tap on the paper or the shimmering wall. I am on latest iOS version and using iPad Mini 1.
