Using Magic Hi, I realized that our equipment comes with stats like Fire Attack +6, Wood Defense +8 etc. How do we make use of these magical elements to attack enemies? Or is it just a passive attribute of the gear? Also are there any escape scrolls found in stages 22-31? Cos I have tried to clear every level, starting at 22, opening every chest and vase before descending to the next level, but have not found any escape scrolls, only uncovered potions.. Thanks a lot!
Those stats are passive. As for the scrolls, they are in the first 5 levels from where you started. In your example, the scroll should have been somewhere in levels 21-25, but you have to check every single chest-pot-etc., or you might leave it behind.
That's really odd. Have no delay or lag on my iPad Mini 2, but I'm on iOS 9.2. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Really disappointing... The delay surfaces again right away reinstalling the app for a mere few hours. Really bad script, i am certain there is some sort of loading causing the lag in the background. What i can suggest to the dev is next time to put loading screen before a stage so it doesnt mess up gameplay. This is really disappointing, i cant play this game at all money wasted. Either it is bad script or bad app writing causing those limited ram to leak. Ipad felt hot playing this small game just unbelivable. The control is clunky as hell also. This is never a game optimitized on ipad. The virtual D pad is a horror to use, movement is clunky combined with the jerky loading kills this for me. A virtual analog should be used instead of a Dpad, movement is not fluid. Spells icon are right at the centre which is totally clumsy when you are holding an iPad, the icons should be allowed to be dragged into comfortable position. The dev should have done more ipad testing or make it phone only. Well the low price doesnt justify comprising the game quality. Well i am very disappointed with avalon games for now. I can put up with clunky control but that jerky gameplay is unplayable.
I know this game has some good reviews, but I just wanted to explain mine. I would have given it a two and a half if I could; it just had nothing to capture my attention, bland combat and progression, and boring battles. I'll be honest, I didn't play much, but that was because the levels were very boring and bland. I'm all for procedurally generate maps but these were just a bunch of random squares. To me. So that's my take, for what it's worth EDIT: it's worth noting I did refund this game; I may not have if I had more cash, but I still haven't even used the dollar. There is just better games for the little money I have and this one felt like I was using my cash in the most effective way. To each their own though.
Games run fine on my iPad. I got tired of it, but more because there's just not enough fun or decisions in it. Sorry about your lag issue, but there's little a developer can do about problems that only occur for 1 out of thousands of users.
That's just sad that you refunded the dollar. Not even because the game is fantastic.Way to do the opposite of supporting indie devs
For me the cost of siphoning strike is 46 mana. Must depend on some other attributes. What are your mana and power levels? My mana is at lv 3 (max of 563 mana at a time), my power is lv 2 (199).
Played this game for a long time now and it gets really boring after a while. Its the same over and over again with pay2win aspects.
I just leveled up. I wanted to see what effect that would have on the mana cost. Siphoning strike now costs 47 mana, which is more than before. That was before I applied the point to anything (I added to mana, but it didn't change the it from 47). I also tried equipping items that altered the power, but that had no effect. And un-equipping everything (so changing the attack, defense, and health) also had no effect. So, I'm guessing that it's based on your character level (I'm at level 45 now). That pretty much ruins the game right there... Hoping for a patch that fixes this mess!
I don't know for sure if it does get more powerful, but it would make sense if it becomes more powerful that it would cost more mana. Does it get more powerful? If not why would it cost more?
It does become slightly more powerful with each level (well, not directly, since the power is affected by attack strength which only increases a tiny bit with leveling up, it increases a lot more with your weapon choice, but weapon choice (even un-equipping the weapon and dividing attack by more than half) has no effect on the mana cost). So maybe that would work if things balanced properly. As you get into deeper levels (I was working my way through the Nightmare level 31+, mostly grinding to level up so I could make it to level 41+), you take a lot more damage (after all, it is a bit of a waste to try to have sufficient defense for all of the various elemental attacks, as you end up sacrificing something else in the process). Regular (non-elemental) defense isn't too much of a problem thanks to better equipment. But regardless, you take a lot more damage in later levels. Mana regeneration (which you can only get from equipped items, not as part of a choice of attributes to increase while leveling up) does not scale anywhere near as fast as the cost of the siphoning attack (the best I get, when enchanting equipped items, is +5 mana per fight, so right now I get about 25 mana at the end of each fight). The Mana Siphon spell also increased a tiny bit, but again not nearly as fast as the cost of siphoning strike. So, before the update, the cost was 25 for siphoning strike, I would get 15 back with mana siphon, and at the end of a fight I would get about 25 mana. Each fight in nightmare 31+ would usually take 4 or 5 rounds (so I would have a regular attack 4 or 5 times, plus I could use a skill 4 or 5 times). Typically, I would need to use siphoning strike 3 or 4 times to counter the damage taken, which means I'd only get one mana siphon. So, I would spend 75 - 100 mana, get 15 back during the fight, and 25 back at the end of the fight. Net result, I'd lose about 15 - 40 mana per fight. With the occasional potion I'd find (in addition to the ones I'd buy from the shop when first entering), I could make it to level 40 if I didn't fight every creature (otherwise 36 or 37 maybe). I wouldn't have enough potions to attempt the boss between level 40 and level 41. After the update, the cost is now 47 for siphoning strike, and I get 22 back with mana siphon, and at the end of the fight I still get back 25 mana. So, it still takes the same amount of time for a fight (4 or 5 rounds), of which I still need 3 or 4 siphoning strikes to counter the damage taken, still leaving only one chance for a mana siphon. The cost of the siphoning attacks is now 141 - 188. My one mana siphon is now 22, and at the end of the round I get another 25. Net result is a loss of 94 - 141 per fight. Now I'm lucky if I can find an escape scroll before being dying because I quickly run out of mana, meaning I can't heal myself. Leveling up a whole lot (with a ton of grinding) may help me to get somewhat near where I was at before this update, but then again maybe not. If the costs just keep getting higher and higher faster than I am improving, then maybe I'll never be able to get to level 100 and beat the final boss on Nightmare level. That said, especially due to this update, the game is no longer fun (I don't like grinding, and there was already a bit before the update). So, I'll probably log in daily for a while to get the free spin of the wheel, until this game fall off my short list or until there is another update which helps with balance.
