Hi everyone, I've made some changes to the original post. This could end up being a long list so interested in suggestions as to how to list everything over time.
Are you on 10.3.3? Can you put them on your device and see if you get the warning? Who's country is your store?
Provided the developer keeps paying Apple their developer license fee each year, I can't see why not. But I doubt developers whose entire library is wiped by this move will bother re-upping their license.
Correct. And the only solution I've found is to download the games to your computer. Not device, since the apps are trimmed down for the device they're installed on. When downloaded to your computer you essentially have the 'package' ready to install on your other devices. Wish I'd found this out before Otto decided not to renew.
OP updated with more games from you all (Thanks again) & posted Ron Gilberts Twitter reply confirming that Scurvy Scallywags will be updated. Happy with that
The Pantheon Cycle: Shrouded Aspect. Developer has told me that he is unable to update the code for 64bit. And the classic action rpg Darkstone, that runs a treat on my 12.9" iPad Pro, is also destined for the apocalypse rubbish bin #
More casualties.... Anomaly Series LEGO Batman DC Super Heroes LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Lost Treasures of Infocom Metal Slug Series Shadowrun Returns Shadowrun Dragonfall
I have a question please if anyone can answer. Has Apple officially said that on the day that iOS 11 is released that simultaneously all 32bit games will be removed from the App Store? Reason I am asking is because there are a number of 32bit games I have not yet purchased but I am interested in buying and putting on my old iPad 3 (which is now my dedicated iOS 9, 32bit game haven) but I am waiting to see if the devs have a pre apocalypse sale. If Apple intends to remove 32bit games from the App Store immediately on iOS 11 release day then I best purchase them now?
It's a tricky one, we're not too sure what will happen. Apple have said they're dropping 32-bit support entirely come iOS 11, however users with the beta say that games can be found but cannot be downloaded from the App Store. I'd guess they'd start removing them - especially from search - to remove clutter, and although there's a chance they may still be accessible by the specific links, it's probably better getting any games sooner rather than later.
Hi peoples, I've added a link to a Google Spreadsheet to the OP. It's not open for editing, but feel free to add comment where there's gaps.
Loads of new additions from the new article & forum added. If you have a moment, please check out the spreadsheet & add comments for missing details for your fave games. There's a lot of you & just one of me, but I'm trying to keep up On holiday next week so may lose a little ground
