I don't think freemium is exactly popular on the console/pc, aren't that many popular games that are freemium.
I could be wrong, but I do believe the developer/publisher was saying FPS's aren't as popular on mobile...and that would be correct. Has everything to do with the control issues and not the price though, IMO.

Not sure if i posted this here, but i'll say what i have in mind about this game anyways. I actually downloaded it first week of its release, since it got me excited that i could play it before the rest of the world could... ... And i just cant play it decently with its new control scheme. Didnt click with me. Also i didnt like the fact that you cant shoot while moving at the same time. Sure you can walk backwards (move then turn around while moving), but it just feels clunky overall. On paper, it seems like a new good way to shoot, but in practice, it's very inaccurate and you'll be shooting into the air more times than you'd want.
Not sure if anyone is interested but this app is compiled in iPhone and the iPad is up scaling. Why they didn't release it as it was compiled and include all iOS devices I don't know. . . Needless to say with some tweaks this works on my iPhone 4S and iPhone 5

Yep, we have an iPhone version. It works great on the 4S, 5 and Touch 5th gen. We need to do some work to get the game running on the 4, hence the delay. Those of you in the thread, that stopped playing the game because of the controls (preferring virtual sticks), we'd love you to try the new version of the game so we can get some feedback. Thanks!
We definitely recommend you use the standard controls. We believe they are the superior system for shooters on touch screens. Given so many people wanted the sticks though, we've added them.
