You must go to a pretty boring school...

I don't like it when people beg for codes. When there's a contest or something I don't care but when a dev is just talking about his game and someone randomly goes "Can I have a Promo Code?" it annoys me, espcially since there's a rule against that.

If it were to be used by a member or a guest it would be. However, these codes are posted for people to use.

Sometimes devs will start threads about their game and give promo codes away. Don't ask them if they don't offer though, it's against the rules and will get you banned.

Well I was waiting until today to pickup Skybound, Heavy Mach, Bobble surfer, and retro and then two days ago, the dev for skybound had a promo code giveaway. Well seeing as how I was really wanting the game I sent him a pm and got a promo code. The game is awesome and you know what I kinda feel bad that I didn't pay for it. I've tried to spread the word as best I can but I still feel the dev was robbed of my sale.

There are times where I feel bad about getting a game for free as well, but most of the time I don't even ask for a game unless I plan on writing a review. At least then - assuming the game is good - I feel like I'm possibly doing them more of a service with a positive review then with the couple of bucks they would have gotten on my sale.
