my terrain also stops after about 30 seconds of traveling right after I respawn. Josh- perhaps I can send a log or participate in TF build to help resolve this. Excellent game no less
So I bought the game. I had to see what it was all about. As a man and an actual hunter I said screw the tutorial. Lol. I just keep running to the right. Running like a deer would. I have killed things and I made little babies which was funny. The thing is how do I get back to the beginning? Lol. I can't go left. I remember that cloaked figure asking me to find his monacle. Do I have to just start over ? I passed some burning bushes and through some snow and I'm way past all that. You can just run to the right forever. Billy
Umm this game is broken. I was playing and sometimes the deer doesn't even move. If you become another animal you are forced to die because you cannot make certain jumps.mingot to the snake boss and died and it saved and now I log back in and it just loads a crescent moon screen and trees so basically I have to restart now? What
Yeah it's certainly not ideal placement but considering how poorly organized the App Store is it could be a lot worse. Although I just did a search for "deer God" and it's the first result. Makes me think the weird name could actually be part of CM's marketing strategy. I doubt there are any other apps with that combination of words it the title. If that's the case it was pretty smart move.
when you say can't move - what do you mean exactly? like the control stick on the left does nothing? I've never experienced that before and I've played through this game a ton of times - which device are you on?
had a chance to download this beauty and must say the art is beautiful. def would love to see more games like this in the app store seems like more and more have been coming recently.

I'm not sure if I can convince you, but it is a pretty fun game and it could be worth it to pick it up now while it's still on launch sale. The devs. are aware of the bugs and are actively trying to fix them. I'm sure they'll work it out and have an update as soon as it's fixed. They have been pretty active on this thread trying to narrow down where the bugs are so they can figure it out. They've even talked about releasing a special version to some players that can help them track down where the problems are. So you know they really care about getting it fixed. And again it's a pretty fun game. Additionally, I'm not trying to criticize anyone, but helping to sell people on a game is what I thought these forums are at least partially about. You know "share the love" and what not. I've bought a few games recently, this one in fact, because of what people are saying about them in the forum.

Interesting theme, nice visuals and no IAPs. I hope controls are good though. Definitely will try this game! Btw does anybody remember Endless Forrest MMO by Tale of Tales? It was the first thing that popped in my mind after seeing Deer God (second was Mononoke Hime)... a nice and peaceful game full of deers with strange antlers and human-like faces
The graphics get muddy and confusing. You blend in with the backgrounds too much. It's hard to track the player sprite at times. I keep looking for gamma correction in the game menu. What's more, the control is so so picky. I keep getting hosed by enemies when the game doesn't respond to the attack command. Then I'll accidentally dash into a spike-coated pit to my demise. And what exactly is the goal? I guess it's to keep the baby deer alive long enough to be a big deer. It's hard to do when the game glitches out as it's apt to do. I dunno, not feeling this one. The control is flimsy and the game peppers you with cheap deaths. Definitely not feeling the price point. It's 6.99 - on SALE?! For this game? Having played it, 3.99 seems unreasonable. But it's going up to 10 bucks? Good luck with that.
Ok, this might seem odd for me to say because I've posted positively about the game before, BUT I'm starting to feel as though this may not have been ready for release. The game is hard. There are very few things to help you figure out what, where or how to complete missions. I even have in game hints turned on and I'm not sure I've received any hints at all. Not knowing what to do or if you've done it makes it very frustrating to play. Added to that is the game destroying glitche that, when encountered causes you to lose all progress and time spent on the game. Making the game a literal waste of time. Maybe (and I'm not being snide here) CM should pull the game from the App Store until they can fix it. The reason I say that is because the more people who get their hands on it in this state the worse things are going to get for their future sales. Then by the time they get it fixed there may be too much negativity surrounding the game for new players to care about it. At $7 (a sale price) even fewer people will be willing to take the plunge and risk losing there money on a game that has been known to be severly flawed. Maybe I'm wrong about that but surely continuing to sell a product that you know is defective (especially at a price a lot of people would consider too high) is going to push buyers away.
I absolutly agree with you. I really tried to like this game. But this game makes me frustrated as hell. The missions are ??? yes a big damn questionmark. The controls are terrible. And the camera is giving you more deaths than ever needed. Yes the controls and the cam are for me the worst thing in this game. The only bug i had: after progressing 15% and reloading, the game started at 0%. I knew the reviews were mixed on steam, gave it a try cause i love platformers. This game could be so good, but it messes so many things up (and im not talking about bugs) so that i can't believe its a CM game. The Deer God = Lets frustrate the shit out of players.
I STILL don't even know what I'm doing. I just said eff fit. And I just keep running right. I passed some snow and I think a desert. I just keep going. The game doesn't stop me. I am looking for some monacle. I can't go back to the beginning. Billy

I actually did complete this mission. It was the next mission "the leap of faith" that I got stuck on. Wasn't sure if I had found the spot I was told to look for but when I decided to go back to the deer who gave me the mission I wasn't able to jump high enough to climb back up one of the cliffs I had jumped off. I died so I could retry and got the respawn bug. That's when decided I wasn't playing anymore until it was fixed. I was actually (mostly) enjoying the game up to that point but I'm not willing to put anymore time into the game if I can just lose all progress to a bug.
