I also encountered a bug with my save. I am on Ios 8.4.1 on a Iphone 6+ i went to play the game today and loaded the save and it loads into the game but there is no deer or characters just terrain that is distorted but i can hear the music and when i walk to left or right the camera does pan. I closed the app from memory rebooted phone problem remains so had to start a new save...not sure if anyone else is also having this issue or has had it happen.
I had just gotten the quest for taking a leap of faith and i continued on just little 1 screen over till i had to take a break and had to quit out. upon reloading the save we have the respawn glitch. i would also add a music toggle to always keep it on even when moving it is kind of annoying when the music stops when you move and starts when you stop unless that design is intentional.
Awesome! Got texture glitch now that a few other have mentioned, tried restarting the app, letting myself die and respawn, reloading from the menu... Nothing. I know you guys are hard at working fixing the issue, guess I'll just have to be patient. Despite that this game is really awesome, I find myself thinking about it while I'm not even playing it. The atmosphere brings me back to Sword Brothers S&S which I absolutely loved. Great work can't wait to get back into it!
We're going to be sending out a testflight build to a few people now with a function that shows the prints out the terrain block id. If you respawn with no terrain - it should give us a clue what's going on.
Unfortunately, 'Deer God' is what I'm finding myself shouting out too many times when I'm playing this game. Leaps of faith that more often than not lead to instant death are one thing, but there are too many other issues. I'm finding it difficult to tell the background / foreground from the playing area (the visuals seem a bit 'muddy' to me and difficult to tell which ledges you can stand on and which you can't sometimes). I keep getting stuck on bits of scenery and several times now when walking through one of the area that I think is supposed to be water I find myself walking through scenery when I don't really think I should be. As a huge fan of Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery and pixel art in general I had huge hopes for this game - and it could be brilliant - but there's too many little things letting it down for me at the moment.
can you include me on that build, my save loads up right after talking to the deer that gives you the leap of faith quest , i let my self starve to respawn and nothing just spawns in with the mountains and sun and moon rising and are overlaid. the other thing is i thought there is supposed to be a picture of deer queen on the white screen before it loads and she says one more life , well the screen is just white when it loads to just the missing textures.
Places I'm now stuck I keep respawning stuck in a wall I finished the game but was not allowed to choose my destiny I end up at this ledge and if I try going forward it shoots be back to just before it
Just bought the game after reading this thread. Originally I wasn't interested but you guys sold me. So far it's very frustrating. I don't think it the games fault though, I must just suck. I can't even get passed the stupid fire obstacles. Is there a trick to this or do I really suck that much? I have figured out a few things that others have stated as problems. With the attack system, you have to be moving to attack. It won't attack if you're standing still. Also, you can tell when you're hitting the enemies by their health bar. It only shows up after you hit them the first time and from there you can see it drop with each hit.
For $6.99, the game should be polished and relatively bug- and glitch-free. Was this game rushed to launch? Was beta testing skipped? Convince me it is worth the money. The negative comments and App Store reviews suggest that it isn't.
I hate when people say convince me... I mean I dont care if you buy it or not why do you think people want to waste their own time to convince you? Sigh.
Nothing happened it just stayed there till I closed the app then it started back at the stature with all the relics
