The pics accurately depict the iPhone 4 experience. However, on the bat pod mission, the collision detection was WAY too high. Every turn or curb touch results in a collision. And the frame rate drops horribly in the bat pod mission. Even crashed on me once. Thankfully it saves 4 times throughout that mission. Once the mission was over, the bat pod riding was a little smoother. Weird. Overall, I'm still working on it because after all, its the dark knight in my pocket. Still might put Lockdown back on my phone for some satisfying combat though.
I agree, the collision detection of the bat-pod should to be a lot more forgiving. The slightest touch against any object, however small and insignificant, is like hitting a solid concrete block head on. I'm getting used to the controls now and can speed around without hitting anything too often, but when I do occasionally clip something it is pretty annoying.
I was on the fence for a while but I finally bought the game. Wasn't as good as I expected it to be but it's still pretty fun. The camera is really annoying and I'm not sure why, but I tend to hit the grapple or batarang button by mistake... A lot. Oh and I did encounter a few bugs, I'll post pics soon.
Does anyone have a game save I can have? I was trying to put my iPad save on my iPhone and accidently deleted it. I just finished all of the decryption missions.
I knew they wouldn't be so dumb as to leave us 3rd gen device owners out of the loop with such a big ticket title. Thank you Gameloft!
Yeah. I mean, if you aren't put off by occasional frame rate drops, collision problems, and difficult steering controls, then I definitely say go for it! I haven't been able to stop playing it since I got it. And I've only had a couple crashes so far. But I just open it up and I'm pretty much right where I was previously. I have an iPad 2 & iPhone 4, and have been playing it more on my phone just because its with me all the time. It still plays fine, looks great for a phone, and its the dark knight! So, definitely go for it.
Please tell me you've found random bad guys walking in mid air between buildings... I just saw that twice, and ended up glided near him to knock him out with a batarang. It looked crazy. Also, I had a helicopter get stuck and stutter between buildings. Kind of thankful for that one. Another time I swear I killed all of the snipers within a 5 building radius, but there were mysterious red sites shooting at me from the sky. Definitely made that mission more difficult!
The terrible steering and collisions are present for me, too. Feels kind of like they rushed that part of the game.
I had 230+ Batarangs, then the game crashed and when I played it again, I only had 10. I also redownloaded this (and lost all my progress), and the glitch where I can't use gadgets is still there
Ok I dont know if this was discussed before but how do you thrust fly ,cause at one time I was gliding around the city then by accident I touch something then I was gliding really fast as if I was sky diving in a wing suit it was really cool I could even hear the wind blowing faster as I was thrusting through the air ,but since then I having been able to do it & it couldnt have been a bug or glitch lol it would be the best bug in a mobile game I ever saw ,but really if anyone know how to glide faster please let me know
There are large fans with lighted green beacons on some roofs. They give you extra lift when you jump from them or fly over them.
How to get the "Impounder" achievements? description said you need to "recover 1 stolen car" what that mean?
You can swoop in and crash on top of a hijacked car (when you see Bane's men capture it). I am assuming if you smash through the windshield correctly that you recover the car. One car I smashed before a bad guy got into it, and another one I smashed onto but fell off before I could capture it.
App based on a Batman....... Watched Dark night rises 2 days ago and today m reading about its game...... No doubts that I m going to have it on any cost........
Recovering a hijacked car is a side objective, shown as a light blue diamond shape on the map. You can see an example of a hijacked car recovery on Sanuku's playthrough video below at around 6:49. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
