Gameloft's file sizes are getting HUGE these days, and seem to run poorly on anything but the very latest... The majority of us who aren't rich are using 16GB devices, and some of us not the latest one... It's a pity. I'm sure this'll run like crap on iPhone 4 if I do pay for it and use up the space... Come on Gameloft, Dead Trigger is under 200MB and runs at 60FPS on iPhone 4...

Look up a few posts, it runs OK/good on the iPad 1 which has 20% more pixels (which seems to make a big difference). Also 850 or 800mb for this game is smaller than their other recent releases.

Well... I played it on my iPhone 4 for a few mins and i hate the framerate.. seriously I am so used to console games that framerate of some iPhone games is pretty much unacceptable to me.. Like I can play it but it's just not IT.

If you can't make your game run smooth on all devices it supports, then just don't support them. Ohhh yeah I know, they would get less money.. Like they don't have enough -.-

So i stopped playing like after third mission but I think the game is done pretty well, combat is just iPhone-ish, nothing extra but it isn't that bad... You can use grapple gun and floating to travel trought the city that's alright.
I haven't looked at IAP, I think it all was said before, but if you have any questions I'll look it up and answer for you :)

Yeah if you're a frame-rate snob (that's not meant as an insult, it's early in the morning and I can't think of a better way to put it) it won't wow you on "older" iDevices, but the combat is much better if you use counters which have to be timed right.

I for one am happy Gameloft released it for older iDevices even if it doesn't run smooth. When they excluded the iPad 1 from Spiderman I almost choked. Not that the game turned out good, apparently, but I was afraid it had begun. I originally bought my iPad for business but I was also looking forward to using it for gaming; I was upgrading from an iTouch 2nd generation and it was the big-deal best-graphics second-coming thing when it came out and the gap between it and the iPad 2 is disheartening.

I have, this is my post from earlier, now I can add to it saying that the AI is not very good(a group of snipers where shooting me at point blank rame while there unarmed buddies watched)

I played a little in my 4th gen iPod and it seems alright (I only played a few minutes so I would not spoil the movie)The character models looked awful and the run animation on Batman is awful.Besides those few things it seems alright,I'll go and play some more and hopefully post again with more impressions

Wow, if this game is getting compared to its console counterparts, it's a must-buy, especially since I didn't get to play Arkham City. Great job Gameloft. If they could do more of their games like this, they would make a lot more money.

Did somebody say $100 IAP?! Are you serious? Might have to pass on principle. I don't care how easy it is to ignore IAP. Buying the game would send the message to Gameloft that I don't mind, and I really, really do. There's no justifiable reason for such ridiculous IAP to even be present in an iOS game. I don't even mind IAP in a $7 game -- it's obvious this one's pretty large in its scope -- but $100? No ******* way!

From what I've seen the iaps are for credits (which are apparently accumulated slowly) and something about tech. I'll probably pass this one up, since I don't like iaps in paid games, period.

It's not 850MB, that is the compressed size, when you download the game and install, it is almost a gig and a half...

I have added iPad 1 impressions 2 pages back. ALthough I must say the animations seem to look a lot better on iPad1 than iTouch 4. but the iPad has a nicer screen so *shrug*

Can someone please confirm if this game contains spoilers?

I'm playing it on my iPhone 4S, completely smooth but the more missions I complete, the more I'm worried this will just reveal the story.

Holy cows, good game good game good game!

    £5, really?

I would pay £30/60€ for this game!!!

Yeah, coin collection is slow but it feels like it should be, the upgrades, collectibles and free roam style adds humongous replay ability and a class off app that is rarely seen on the app store.

Not getting this game due to IAP is a crying shame because it is that good. I don't agree with IAP either but enjoying the game and not getting the IAP sends a better message than not getting it at all, as Gamelofts statistics will be changed this way too.

Gameloft themselves have been resurrected here, don't pass it by!
