I played the updated version this morning and it's nice to see the fixed title screen! I still wonder about the number of ads that are present? Is the long ad before you continue absolutely necessary? Additionally, just having the one ad after your game ends is sufficient as most people will be seeing those a lot since the game is such a challenge. I would imagine that single ad would generate plenty of revenue for the developer as people would see it after every game as they do now. The long ad before the continue just takes you out of the flow of the game as it's too jarring.
Bug Report: I have the update. I am no longer receiving the option to continue by watching an ad. I cannot continue at all. Billy
New outfit will be unlockable by spirits.(blue flame thing) and our team making plan about addtional chapter.(new tower) About ads. it always uneasy thing to devs & user. but please hope you understand us. earn money from this game, not so much to our dev team.(sorry about we couldn't show you how much we earn) and actually in updated ver. we adjust ads popup more less. and short. Yep. I know. maybe it still looks awful. just please wait for remove ads fuction in next update.(it will has continue with no ads) and sorry about poor english. + Also I really want to say Thank you to you cause you give so much interest,feedback & suggest to our game. I completely understand the monetization concerns regarding the ads. As for the new tower will it have additional floors with new bosses as well and will it be a free update to the original game? I am also curious, what will the cost of the no ads option be? Lastly, have you had a good number of downloads so far?
Yea but whatever you did I cannot even continue now. Not at all. I'm not being given the option at all. I've played over ten games. So I have to start from floor 1 everytime now. I don't mind opt in ads to continue. Those are fine because it's my choice to view them. I want to buy out of the forced ads where I have no choice. I don't mind paying for that. You deserve money for your work on this game. It's worth it. However I definitely want the option to continue! Please fix this! I can't wait for the new outfits and that's awesome there will be a new tower. Billy
About continue in 1st floor. continue function is meaningless.(because it started from beginning of floor) so you can continue after 1st floor. and you can't continue over 25 time at one day. of course if not connect with network service or airplane mode, continue button will not appear.
Of course. it will be free update. but it can't be soon. now we just 'talking' about new tower. and no ads cost will be just one buck. I promise.
The no ad price is definitely fair....an option in addition to the 99 cent charge would be to offer a free unlock ad function for those who might complain about paying to remove ads especially since they were against them being in the game in the first place. For example, perhaps you could charge like 5000 blue spirits or some other amount for that option. By offering a paid unlock for ads as well as an unlock for ads that can be earned with spirits would satisfy the entire customer base (those that are impatient and hate ads as well as those who don't mind the ads). What do you think about this idea as I believe it could set your game apart from other games on the market. Also, I understand how developing a second tower could take some time, no problem. Please consider adding some of my suggestions for bosses when you do get to the development stage for the new tower.
Oh, well I don't get a continue at all even if on 4g or wifi. Weird. To be honest, it's nice like that. An old school challenge!
Since the update I haven't been offered to update AT ALL! I normally make it to level 2. I am connected to wifi. I no longer get any chance to continue since updating. That's why I'm saying it's broken. I haven't even continued once let alone 25 times. Billy
Oh... Ok I dig it. Tested on My iPhone 5s continue works correctly. So I didn't know that issue. sorry about that. Thanks for the report! We will find and fix that problem soon as possible.
I didn't want to do it but what I did was uninstalled the game. Rebooted my phone. Reinstalled the game. The continues are now working. I guess the update went funky. It seems ok now with the fresh install. Billy
The game seems more unstable now on my 4S. I had only two crashes prior to the update, and with a few hours of gameplay. After the update I've had the game crash twice on floor 4. The problem is I've only played twice after the update, so it's 100% crash for me
I just noticed that The Counter of Death is now ranked in the top 50 under the free games list on the App Store! I think this bodes well for the game overall as it wasn't even ranked in the top 150 a day ago.
