I am reading The Punisher max Volume 6. It is awesome. WARNING: This is a MAX comic. Marvels explicit line. I warn you now. Theres cursing, extreme violence, nudity, and brutality. Be forewarned.
What are everyone's favourite Graphic Novels? I haven't read many, never been a big comic fan. I've read Watchmen and V for Vendetta, thought they were both great. My interest in comics rose exponentially when I found out that Buffy and Angel would continue in comic form.
Hmm well I love the graphic novel Batman the killing joke by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland( my copy is autographed by Bolland ( stood in line for two hours for that) Also the captain Britain omnibus if that counts.
This is also a good one http://www.amazon.ca/Radioactive-Man-Repository-Volume-One/dp/0062089927/ref=wl_it_dp_o_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=J7V9O7ZB0TV4&coliid=I1IRWH0ME7RTFT
AmI the only one that likes the 2nd print cover of Action Comics 1 better than the 1st print? Why didn't they use the original cover of Action Comics 1 for the rebooted Action Comics?
Oh and I spent my Saturday reading Franco Belgian comics. I'll post a pic of some when I wake up. Going to sleep now.
If you like Alan Moore you should check out some earlier works he did for 2000AD, Skizz, Ballard of Halo Jones, DR & Quinch, smaller bites would be some of the Future Shocks or Time Twisters he's written. V for Vendetta was pretty typical of a lot of 2000AD works in its theme and tone.
It's a good series, pity it never concluded though before Alan Moore went on to do superhero stuff for the US market. Books 1&2 are not really typical boy comics and take some getting into, but are quite thought provoking without taking itself too seriously. Spawned music as well as stage productions so can't be all bad. DR & Quinch was a personal fav.
That is one of the most awesome looks at the core concepts and charecter of superman. It really catches his benevolance and freindly demeanor. All Star Superman is a triumphet example of a good superman story, by showing him for who he is, a guy who likes to help people. Not some demigod who wishes for domination (Injustice), or a government stooge (TDKR). Just a guy with amazing powers using them for good. The film is also great.
Didn't know we had a comic thread here. I am a big fan of the works of Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Warren Ellis, Pat Mills & Peter Millgan. I am a huge fan of Marshal Law, Rogue Trooper & Judge Dredd. I wish there were more games on 2000AD characters on iOS. I am just finding myself reading Hellblazer now. I had read most of them earlier but going through them chronologically now. I am impressed by Delano's writing.
I assume you mean the IDW comics. I haven't finished reading all of IDW's comics yet. Only Half Century War and Legends #4. The Dark Horse Comics version was really good too. I have the Past, Present, Future paperback which is pretty good. I have read a few of the old Marvel Godzilla comics but it has been a while so I don't remember much of them.
I haven't read DH. I read idw. Read legends 1-6. Its good. I want to see american godzilla get a comic tough. Hes me favorite.
The character Zilla (aka Godzilla In Name Only) will appear in future IDW Godzilla series. He will appear in the series Godzilla: Rulers of Eath #1 this June.
