We @AwfullyNiceStudios absolutly love Games and want to make sure that the freemium model will be fair for everybody. We haven't tested it yet but if it play's out not being fun we def. switch to premium. We are intending for a Steam release first with a premium model and see how this goes.
I totally understand you guys, it's very hard to choose between a well balanced Freemium and a premium, I just hope the game won't be ruined by awful timers, adds or meaningless IAPs, but the truth is that if a game isn't well balanced like sim city or the latest Need for Speed, I'll delete it after 10 minutes. The best example that comes to my mind is bust a move, I always loved that game, I played it since I was a kid, I bought every versions (nearly) but they remade it something like a year ago, full of timers... I deleted it. By the way, will your game be a proper platformer or a arena type?
We are 100% with you @djstout. Timers and meaningless IAPs are the worst. Candy Crush is another terrible example or Clash of the Clans where they suck the money out of you. However, we are developers and need to make money somehow to feed our families, but a fair business model that doesn't piss off the players ALWAYS comes first. It will be a Arena shooter with a strong focus on achieving a higher score then your friends. Thanks for your advice @djstout. Appreciate it.
Yes and that's why I dont use those jailbreak's app to download games for free, I prefer to support the devs as making games is a job, I'll happily support you guys when the game will be out!
We also started a Steam greenlight campain recently. If you like to see this game on steam as well please vote for us here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=309138553 Currently we are working on level designs. This one here will be probably be a bit more of a hectic one.
We are working hard on adding more enemies. https://www.facebook.com/awfullynicestudios Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
