A Song of Ice and Fire is epic, my favorite fantasy series ever. I'm slowly making my way through Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, halfway through book 11 now. Also has anyone here read The Forever War? Really good sci-fi.

I'm currently reading "farewell, my lovely" from Raymond Chandler.
After reading his book called "the big sleep" i got hooked.

Great detective novels set before the 2nd world war.
It's about Philip Marlowe, a detective in LA who has always a clever and sarcastic remark ready to throw at some badguy.
Chandler's first book (the big sleep) really set the standard for a lot of modern day crime novels. And even movie's. Incl the big sleep (duh), casablanca and even Sin city. Even the game LA Noire is sort of based on Marlowes adventures. So if you like crime novels or film noire movies be sure to check Raymond Chandler's books out.
