I've finished the game on normal, took me about 3-4 hours (maybe shorter if you optimise the economy engine, which I didnt bother). I've started a second playthrough and it seems events and locations are all the same, so there isnt a lot of replayability. I died once in my first playthrough due to exploring with minimal amount of warriors. Havent died or even close to dying afterwards. So hardcore mode wont change much for the game. Might revisit this game if the developer introduce a lot more content. Price-to-playtime wise, it's average, $4 for 4 hours of enjoyment is alright. My verdict is it definitely take ideas from Kingdoms and A Dark Room, however does not have the island progression, randomness and difficulty of Kingdoms and does not have the narrative and deeper themes of A Dark Room. If you havent played either of these games, I recommend those over Bonfire. If you just want a short and relaxing game with nice art and music, give this game a spin. But it definitely isnt going to replace Kingdoms for me.
Bug There is a bug that in hardcore mode if you die in a dungeon you can continue the game from the day before you go to the dungeon.
Lanster I also completed the game as Lanster did, however felt it was expensive. It was a good game but a little on the pricey side. It could be made longer just by extending the build this and upgrade that cyle but that would probably make it dull, or by adding new content which would be better.
Like the game! Hello! I am really enjoying the game! Only one problem, how do i save my progress? Had built a farm, logged off, came back on and the farm and my materials had gone! How do i save the game? Am on iPhone Thanks
Hi guys, I didn't scrub the thread for the answer TLDR; I've seen some comparison to the Kingdom side scroller. I couldn't get into that game. Does this game play similarly?
Similar in basic concept but a bit lighter and a lot clearer about how you go about achieving your objectives.
Hello! Game saves automatically every morning, You will see a floppy icon beside the pause button when the game is saved.
Completed it. Am not impressed. Mashup of existing games, without any pride in doing new, improving or even copying well. Its like a chinese company, cloning a guchi handbag, with really bad materials, which hurts your shoulder and where the zipper cant close. -and which starts peelong after 30 minutes of use. Sorry about the harsh words, its just really a bait and switch game in my oppinion. Luring you in the first 20 minutes, then really underdelivering. I cannot understand the TA rating....
How does one use the ships? How does one use the ships? I've built two but no one has sailed away on one or anything yet. I've got at least 1 villager in every job that is available, except scout, who just seem to wander into the forest and get killed.
