Very nice update, but not for the better and more accurate controls, which they are, but for the bigger jump button, its perfect. Now its a nicer, interesting, challenging and innovative (IMO) endless climber. Nice job I was reading the thread and one thing i liked is to include the Tetris blocks. That shapes would add very nicely to the game. I think it fits perfectly.
It's so much better now after update.. and easier to score higher.. thanks for that! Now it's 6 star game! ...I hope I'll be in top 10 on leaderboards tonight
Amazing update! It's like a whole new game. Now, when I die, it's almost always my fault (I'd say ~98% of the time ). My previous score of 6.5 is now a solid 8.5. And I'm sure that future update(s) will push the game up to a 9. Great job Halfbot!
A little bird told me you're going to get your wish You can't understand how happy it makes us to hear you guys are liking the fix. We've been kicking ourselves for not catching these bugs and issues before launch and it's nice to finally get more positive feedback from the players! Please if you haven't yet go and review the game and for those who have already a big thanks to you!! It would help us so much to get back into the charts!
I'm not sure how well it would work, but I was thinking this game could pull off a pretty good puzzle mode, where all the blocks have already fallen and you are stuck at the bottom, and have to climb up By choosing which blocks to destroy and which to keep. The screen of course scrolling along to keep things a little frantic and difficult. It may not work out so well in Practice though, or require really carefully planned levels, but it would be a nice change of pacing for the game. Also last update really improved the controls!
Hey Vinny, I like the way you think We actually explored that idea a few weeks back but ultimately found there were too many challenges to make it work right. So we decided to spend some time focusing on more gameplay modes and characters for the big feature update. Thanks for the suggestion though! Always nice to hear what you guys think would make the game better.
I was making an update review on iTunes and i noticed that the pictures shown in the description are out of date showing the old on-screen controls (they dont show the new big jump button). Just to let you know.
When I play as Mr. Destructoid I sometimes stay under a ledge and let the pieces fill in to do just that. It's like Mr. Driller in reverse
I use Agent he's a beast compared to what he has to do in League of Evil this is a cake walk for him. My tips are just stay on the highest point. Use your double jump a lot. Remember to use the blocks falling to jump also. Never get to far below the high point or you'll end up getting trapped by blocks
Is Mr. Driller fun and worth getting? I never hear anyone talk about it but it tempts me every time it goes down to $0.99...
It's one of my favorite series but honestly the iOS version isn't anything special and the controls aren't as tight as they need to be. It hasn't seen an update since Oct. 09 :/
Finally picked this up today and am loving it so far. How are you guys unlocking the Agent? Shooting 20 Half-bot blocks seems pretty damn hard.
I can't say I'm any good (highest is 700ish) but have all the unlockables just keep playing and you'll get the Agent. I think you can get 20 half-bot blocks within 300 if you're exclusively going after that. So far my favorite unlockable is Mr Destructoid.
