New update coming up where the touch controls will be free floating and can go over the dark areas on the sides.

    Finally! He listened!!!!

Wanted full screen but this is the next best thing. Will finally get back to playing this.

Edit: And as an FYI, another tweet said the update would be out early next month.

I keep wondering if this is still worth getting on iOS or not. No fullscreen is a bummer but I guess the update is something.

Does it work with backbone instead?

I don’t think he’ll ever make it full screen. This is his explanation.

Nice, early next month is good. Can’t wait for the update it will make touch controls a bit better, easier to use.

I feel like they’re a bit less precise, but it may only be a feeling.

Looks like this has never been on sale, so nothing to loose by buying it full price?

I know it’s a very popular game on switch, but is it worth its price on iOS too? Works well enough and a good enough port?

I would say so. It runs great on my 14 Pro.. I switch between touch and a Backbone. All works as it should.

Most importantly, I always have my phone on me, and therefore Isaac. It’s great!

Actually agree with this. I definitely am happy to finally be able to use the full screen for the controls but something feels off about them.

They are all massive expansion packs that add tons to everything in the game.

The only things that are really of note about purchasing them is that:

    1. They cost the same as PC and Console, and are quite expensive

    2. To buy Afterbirth+, you need Afterbirth, and to buy Repentance, you need Afterbirth+. Personally I’d recommend buying Rebirth and then a DLC bundle because it’s cheaper and Afterbirth+ isn’ fantastic without Repentance.

@Wall Jump Games that still sounded confusing at first but I get it now after reading it again. You’d think they would make it very clear and simple for people that don’t know much about the game that are already a bit put off by the price!

But I was thinking I guess I’d buy the base game and then buy the rest if I love it that much. Does suck a bit that it’s not full screen but I know it’s like a popular classic.

    I'm hooked on it.
I have the basegame, but the DLCs really worth ¥6000?

Edit: Oops I saw same question above, however still unclear.

Well, it opens up new bosses, new enemies, new stuff, new game mode and new endings. I still think it’s very overpriced for a mobile game, but hell,if you spent your money on base game, go for DLC.

Worth every single penny if you really enjoy the game I would say, there is a reason why the game is the CLASSIC of roguelite game.

Actually if you have this kind of questions, I would say just beat the base game first (Beat every bosses with every characters in both normal/hard mode and don't forget challenge mode, all of them would unlock new items.), it would spend you a lot of time, but it is worth it because you would step by step to know some game mechanics and synergies between items and characters.

After beat the base game, If you still want to play more contents like new characters, items, challenges and modes, then just get them.

Should you get DLCs before play the game? I would say the answer is NO because if you get the whole DLCs without any experience, the game would become really really BRUTAL if you don't know some game mechanics in the base game first.

Not sure if this will help. This person doesn’t really go through all dlc and it’s content but instead he explains really what the Repentance update was for and what it has done to the game.

@mastery51 Thank you. I could see what happenes if there are DLCs visually.

@Lull4by I didn't beat the base game. But according to the video given by Mastery51 let me know how this game is going to be better.

Now I'm becoming to buy Gamesir G8 Garilleo to play this game more properly and after some time get DLCs, though it's just a rough plan so far.
