My bad. Either way, it's very funny. The scene with the lady pen made me cry the first time I saw it.
Gonna start making a list of great TV directors. On TV shows the showrunners get the props, and some like Vince Gilligan do direct episodes, but over the years there are a few names that keep standing out, to the point where I get excited when I see their name in the credits. Clark Johnson (The Wire, The Shield, Homeland, Person Of Interest, The Walking Dead) Notable episodes: the season finales to The Wire and The Shield Michelle MacLauren (Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, X-Files) Notable episodes: I.F.T, One Minute, Salud, Madrigal, To'hajiilee, The Bear and the Maiden Fair, Second Sons David Slade (Hannibal, Breaking Bad, Awake) Notable episodes: episodes 1, 3 and 13 of Hannibal. Jack Bender (Lost, The Sopranos, Alias, Carnivale, Under The Dome) Notable episodes: Walkabout, Outlaws, Orientation, The Constant, The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham, The Shape of Things to Come, every single one of the Lost season finales Rian Johnson (Breaking Bad, Looper) Notable Episodes: Fly, 51, Ozymandias Adam Bernstein (Breaking Bad, Californication, 30 Rock, Scrubs) Notable episodes: ABQ, Caballo Sin Nombre, Half Measures, Box Cutter, 30 Rock pilot Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad, X-Files) Notable episodes: Breaking Bad pilot and series finale, Full Measure, End Times, Face Off
I really dislike the wire, oz was a better tv show. I know every one loves the wire but to me... It was really like forcing myself to watch it because every one kept telling me "give it time..." I thought lost was absolute shit. But I know it has its fans. Shame it seems you left out quite a few great shows on that list and many that are better
Well I was naming stuff off the top of my head, so there's more shows since I made this thread 2 years ago. It's all subjective anyway.
I know its probably already in here, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice,House, Twilight Zone-the old one,Ridiculousness,Liquid TV
Well the best as in the most fun I've ever had watching was the original TMNT weekday and Saturday morning cartoons were the best (fans know what i'm talking about). Looking back at them, the shows aren't even that great in retrospective but I've never had as much fun watching those shows as a child, since there weren't as much things to do indoors back then. 24 season 1, The season of Dexter with Trinity (the show started sucking after that) and Legend of Korra (seriously, awesome show people will dismiss because it's a cartoon) come close, but I really loved TMNT.
Of course it wasn't that good after Steve Carell left, but the interest in the story and the characters kept me watching it. The writers did an excellent job, especially with character developments. They were all hilarious in their own way, but they didn't push it as far, like in Parks and rec. where the characters "feel" completely ridiciolous (in a bad way) and unrealistic. I had an excellent timing on watching The Office. The series didn't really interest me, but because all other series were on break, or releasing new episodes really slow, I took a chance and watched it. I watched the whole series in 2 months (you could say, that I was addicted to it) 5-8 episodes per day. And I just finished watching all of it and then I had to wait two weeks for the last episode. It felt kinda sad watching it, knowing its all over...
Ew dexter has to be one of the biggest flop shows of all time. From season 5 and on it sucked major.. It's always been a random show with stupid side stories to begin with. I was hoping for a pathetic finale and now the world finally realizes how much of a waste of time it was. I've said this before and I'll say it again: if dexter originally started with HBO and they made the show really dark and deep, focusing on his dark passenger as truly emphasizing his split personality between being unemotional and wanting human emotions then it could've been the greatest show of all time. I'm also surprised in none of the (negative) reviews I've read did anyone even comment on him being a schizophrenic on top of being a psychopath... The dude talks to his invisible father for 8 years and actually uses his advice.. Ding ding ding... Schizo alert. I'm so happy it's over so I can go back to watching good quality shows. /endrant
