Lot of good shows mentioned on this thread I've worked my way through breaking bad, suits, the sopranos, probably a few others and now onto Dexter. I've got as few other shows lined up as well like Spartacus, Homeland, The last Resort. If I had to pick the best so far it's easily breaking bad and then suits but their all pretty good.
Used to love Simpsons the first 4 or so series in the early 90's, but just went off it and got bored. I think when South Park appeared i just couldnt enjoy Simpsons as much anymore. Problem is with some of these shows is when they produce soooo many of them they over saturate it. If South Park/Simpsons only ran for 4 seasons and stopped then they would be preserved as instant classics forever. Most people i know think the Simpsons has totally ran its course and same for South Park.
I've heard good things about Homeland Spartacus is amazing!!! imo watch it in order of production: Blood and sand, gods of the arena, vengeance, war of the damned.
Yup, I agree, Breaking Bad is amazing. Out of the 3 you mention, definitely watch Homeland first. Excellent, excellent show. Haven't watched Spartacus, and Last Resort got cut, so wouldn't know why'd you wanna watch that
theres no shame in watching a show that got cancelled, after all, every show either chooses to end on it's own, or gets the boot. FlashForward was such a good show, but got canned after 1 season cuz it was shown at the worst time and got no ratings
I think The Booth at the End deserves a mention. (My list would also include Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Twin Peaks, Lost, Peep Show, One Foot in the Grave, and Riget. But many of the bests people have listed are still on my list to watch, and I'm sure I'll agree with them when I do! The Wire, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Deadwood, Carnivale, Six Feet Under, Farscape and Deep Space Nine are all on my "future list.")

Watched 12 episodes of TWD in the past two days. Just finished up season 2. Well, everything just went to shit again. Not much of a cliffhanger though. Trailer for season is pretty interesting. Going to catch up on that next week during Spring Break. Nastiest moment so far on the show is still when the group encounters that really fat Walker in the well..
Man season 3... Just so freaking amazing. Only one episode that really kind of let me down. I didn't even watch it. It was an 'Andrea' episode -_- the intensity is just, indescribable.
Man, that's only the beginning. The later episodes are just so damn outta this world. S3 E12 is probably my favourite one of all. I won't be saying any spoilers, but it's amazing. The Vikings just aired last week, it seems to be very interesting, and I like it
community died when they fired the creator Dan Harmond or whatever his name was... all these eps this season suck. House of Cards, Archer, Top Gear (UK), Venture bros (if they ever get around to releasing another season)... my choices of current tv
